The day dawned soaked in gray clouds, with a light icy breeze that took the sleep of all those lodged on the beach. Stillness reigned as they fed on some fruit that the group members had found in the forest, each lost in their own thoughts and growing desire to return to their homes, social lives and the safety of urban life that had been ripped from them by the fall. on the mysterious island. They met right after breakfast.
"Good Morning." - Neji broke the silence exposing a half smile on his face. "So, who's going with me to try and find any signs?"
"I'm not going to go into this forest... I'm going to stay here and help the doctor with the wounded. I was a nurse for many years and I still pay for it!" - Tsunade was the first to dodge. The truth is that no one there would like to take a risk inside the dense forest.
"Shikamaru and I aren't going back there anytime soon!" - Temari soon pronounced herself leaving no alternatives for her companion.
"Get out and I go." – Ino spoke bravely, trying to convince herself that she was ready for the journey.
"Lee and I are going with you too." - Tenten was the only one there who was really determined to face the forest. "I'm ready. Someone else?"
"I will go too." - Sasuke spoke up. "I'm just going to wear more comfortable clothes."
"No, you won't. Sakura crossed her arms and frowned."
"What did you say, doctor?" Sasuke arched an eyebrow.
"You're already hurt too much! One more encounter with these creatures and you're sure not to make it out alive. You will stay and rest so that these wounds heal soon! You also have antibiotics to take at the right times."
''I'll take the medicines!''
"No! You'll stay and I'll see to it that you stay alive, Uchiha." Sasuke rolled his eyes, but didn't contradict her.
"I stay with my brother." Itachi shrugged. Sasuke was even more outraged, feeling like a watched child. Naruto laughed freely at the situation and spoke up as soon as he managed to control his laughter.
"I'll stay, I'm building a raft."
"A raft?" - Tenten frowned not seeing any sense in that. "For what? We don't know where we are or where to go... We can get lost forever in the middle of the ocean."
" I know I know." - Naruto kept his good spirits, still proud of the project. "It's not for us to leave. I saw something on the other side of the island, on that edge over there." He pointed in the direction. Everyone could see a tall black structure jutting upwards like a tower. That scene caught everyone's attention, "and I want to go check it out. For this the raft. It is safer to get there by water than by land."
"Fine, so it's just us. We can go?"
Neji watched the fearful faces of all his fellow travelers as they waved confirming that they were ready to leave. They entered the forest cautiously, always attentive to their surroundings and quickened their pace so that they did not take longer than desired to arrive. Ino walked with the transmitter in hand, keeping an eye on the signal that appeared on its screen.
"You seemed pretty excited to come." – Neji approached Tenten, letting the others follow a few steps ahead of them. "Aren't you afraid of these other people?"
"You bet I am! But if there's a real chance we can make it off this island alive and rescued, I sure as hell want to try. I can't take this dark place anymore... I should never have gotten on that plane..."
"I had no way of knowing he was going to fall, Tenten, especially in a place like this. But I don't think everything that happened was so all bad..."
"What do you mean Neji?" - Tenten laughed and was reciprocated. "Don't tell me you're trying to be one of those positive people who see a bright side in everything that happens! It doesn't suit you."
