Ghost Town
Poem by Vince Ylaya
Just light up a candle, and bring it to me.
To light up this darkness,
So, you and I could see.
But then I remember you can't do it because you ghosted me and left me in this ghost town.
I messaged you and you said we can keep this friendship,
but you never acknowledge my presence.
It hurts me so much,
you left me in this dark,
you left me in this loneliness,
don't bring the light,
I'm not waiting in front of the watering station,
because I have a situation.
I know you left me for a reason.
You were so happy with her 2 and a half years ago, remember that year?
My cousin always said, "Let karma do its job" I guess it works
because you two call it off.
I'm sorry if I'm mad,
I'm just hurt,
thinking about the thought of we don't have a relationship at all,
but I just always knew she was not serious. It's just filthy puppy love.
I can only give what I can give but I can't give what she can only give.
Remember when I'm your schoolmate someone you've called "just friends"?
We laughed so hard,
we share a bond,
but deep inside it was hard not knowing that you'll break my heart,
and be with someone I've called
"My friend".
But maybe I'm just plastic.
People are clueless about who are you, just got to give them a clue,
You stick on me like glue; they'll know something about you.
You're not Good, and she's not Bad
Maybe I'm just overreacting
but seriously it hurts,
but just got to move on because that's the only thing I could do to forget you.
Now I don't want you,
maybe I just stay silent with someone NEW.
Or maybe I could move on by the time you could read this,
I know you can swish,
3 points in a game wish.
Sorry not sorry for telling my experience in this Ghost Town.
