Promises, Promises
Poem by Vince YlayaA Watch on your wrist,
I have to insist,
That we would kiss.
Your Promises, promises,
That doesn't exist.Sparkling day, come and say, "Hey, I'm just a mile away."
You're in the back,
don't go away.
We'd belong together, maybe someday.
A special teacher's day, what a spectacular day.
I walked away, you were in my way.We were in a mass,
You were wearing a black mask.
I would try not to discuss it,
They say the past is the past.
I Remembered how you broke my heart so fast.Promises, promises, this and that,
You're as ferocious as a wild cat,
and as verminous as a filthy rat.
I looked at where you sat,
you broke promises using a wooden bat.My friends are asking who are you,
But I'll never tell them who are you,
'Cause, you're the cruelest person I knew.
Out of the blue, my heart is black and blue.
You broke your unworthy promises,
Why did I even trust you?
Telling a promise is like sealing it with a gold lock and a gold key.
So why did I even trust you?!Promises, promises, you broke your promises, that's you've become my long-time nemesis.
You should have given me anesthesia so that it would have been painless.
Try to keep your promises to your future nemesis.
Promises, promises, keep your promises to your current princess.Maybe someday I will find someone who can keep his words and promises.
The one that wouldn't run away.
