You let out a silent breath you didn't know you were holding and a small smile danced on your lips as your cousin cheered an "I told you so".

"Where's your captain?" you inquired, leaning your back against the wall as you ate.

"He never eats with us," Shirabu shrugged, "I think he's running laps or something."

You held back a chuckle. You hadn't seen anyone who was that passionate about the sport for a long time. "Is that so," you drawled just because you had nothing else to say.

"So, how's Haru?" Satori inquired, jabbing your ribs with his elbow. You understood the question, he had been quite good friends with your brother back in the day.

"Good, I suppose," you shrugged, sending a glare your best friend's way. He had very sharp elbows. "Not that he has much time to talk to us while being on the national team in America." The sentence sounded joking but to some of the people on the team, those who read people's emotions better, noticed a bitter or maybe a bit regretful undertone.

"I never understood why he chose America," Satori commented, sounding curious about the topic.

"Because of Charlotte," you deadpanned as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. And it was, to you.

Your brother and Charlotte had started as internet friends and when Charlotte came to visit Japan with her family, they met up. Soon after, they started dating. Despite being on opposite sides of the world, the relationship held strong and when your brother got the chance to go to an American university with a volleyball scholarship, he didn't think twice.

"Ahh, of course it's love," Satori nodded. "And what about you? Have you found anyone?"

You almost choked because of the ridiculous question. "Me?" you asked, absolutely bewildered. "Where'd you get that idea?"

"Dunno, just popped into my head," your cousin shrugged before abandoning the topic as another question popped into his head. "Hey, Semi-Semi-"

"Don't call me that."

Satori ignored his teammate's remark. "Do you think you could set for Y/n so I could practice blocking?"

You weren't even surprised. Your cousin had finished eating two minutes ago and it would be ridiculous to think he would be able to stay still too much longer.

"I'm eating, Tendō," the setter deadpanned. "And Y/n is, too. Besides, lunch is over soon."

The red-haired fellow pouted, sulking against the wall. You sighed, feeling a bit guilty.

While finishing up your food, you started to think of something to say to your cousin and then...

RRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

Saved by the bell, eh? you mused to yourself, standing up and dragging Satori along so he could lead you back to class since you would still most definitely get lost.
