Surrogate Mother?

Chapter 14

"Don't you think that this is a bit too much?" Y/N asked as she looked around the spacious room.

It could fit like at least twenty people...

She thought.

"You need to be comfortable so you will need a lot of space." I answered as I looked at her which made her look at me.

It had been a week since we 'found out' that she was pregnant and today she was moving in with Soomin and I.

"I could have been comfortable in my own home. This is too big." She said and before I could say anything I heard Soomin scoff beside me.

"Well you are going to have to get used to it because you are carrying out baby and will only want the best for him." Soomin answered and I saw a slight cringe appear on Y/N's face.

"Why do you say him as if you are positive the baby will be a boy?" Y/N asked as she now turned to look her.

"Because I am sure it will be a boy." Soomin answered confidently.

"But what if it's a girl?" Y/N asked as she narrowed her eyes on Soomin.

"I'm okay with that I guess but I am one hundred percent sure it's gonna be a boy. Mothers always know." Soomin answered and I could not help but to feel my heart drop at her words.

What's wrong with having a girl?

Y/N also looked like she was trying to find something to say.

"Uh... Soomin let's leave Y/N to unpack her things. Please excuse us." I said lastly to Y/N before dragging Soomin out of the room and toward the bedroom.

"Why don't you want to have a girl?" I asked as we got to the living room.

"Jin, I didn't say that I didn't want a girl. I would just prefer it if our first born were a boy. He would be our heir and he could even take over your company when you retire." She answered with a smile but I felt uneasy with her words.

"You do know that there is a possibility of us having a baby girl right? And you say these things as if a daughter would be less likely to take over a business compared to a son." I responded.

"Stop putting words in my mouth. I know that girls are also capable. Can we just drop this stupid conversation. I don't want us to argue while that girl is here." She said and I couldn't help but sigh.

When she found out that Y/N was pregnant I really though that she was beginning to warm up to her but I guess I was wrong.

I sighed once again before exiting the room and walking towards Y/N's room. I knocked and walked in when I heard her low come in.

"I just wanted to make sure you were alright after that." I said refering to Soomin's little show.

"Yeah I am okay. Here words don't really mean anything to me but I just want to make sure this baby will be alright. The fact that she doesn't want a girl kind of scared me a bit and I can't help but think that if the baby is not a boy she will treat it differently." She voiced out her concerns and I could see a bit of worry rested on he features.

"Don't worry. I am sure that once she sees the baby she will love it no matter the gender and I will also be there for it." I said trying to assure her but I couldn't help but to doubt my own words as the came out of my mouth.

Y/N just stared at me for a couple of seconds before bidding her head hesitantly. I could see that she was not too sure about my words either.

"Ok... Um... I will get going I am sure you are tired and would like to get some rest." I said and again she just nodded at my words.

I turned around before walking out of her room. I couldn't help but to sigh again at the though of how this was going to be a long couple of months.
