Surrogate Mother?

Chapter 10

Soomin and I both walked into the hospital hand in hand. After talking about the topic a little more we decided it was for the best.

We would be talking to the specialist that Y/N recommended. She had already explained everything to him and now all we needed was for Soomin to agree with Y/N being the surrogate.

Even though I felt extremely guilty for doing this I knew it would be what's best for us and the baby.

"I'm so excited." Soomin said cheerfully as we were called in to meet the doctor.

I knocked on the door and heard a faint 'come in'. When we walked in I was surprised to see how young the doctor actually looked. He looked to be around his mid twenties.

"Good morning Mr and Mrs Kim." He greeted and stretched his arm out for a shake which I returned.

He seemed really friendly and I could see that Soomin had also taken quite a liking to him.

"I am Song Hyunwoo and I will be your doctor through out the whole insemination process."

After his introduction he began explaining to us how the procedure would work and how long it would take.

"Do you have anyone in mind hi you would want to be your surrogate?" He asked and Soomin was about to open her mouth to respond but I beat her to it.

"Yes." I replied and Soomin looked at me with a puzzled expression.

"Who?" She asked while still looking at me with confusion.

"Kang Y/N, a friend of mine." I responded but Soomin did not look totally convinced.

"Well great then. That saves us a lot of time. Next week come with her so that we can start the testing and hopefully in a month you will be receiving news about the possible baby to be." Doctor Song said to us with a smile on his face though he did look at me a bit more.

"Thank you for helping us." I said and stood up.

Soomin thanked him as well before we bid our goodbyes and headed out of the office.

"Who is this Y/N and why have I heard her before?" Soomin asked as soon as the door of the office closed.

"As I said before she is my friend. You never heard of he because you never want to hang out with my friends." I responded before I began making my way out of the hospital.

"And why exactly would I want a stranger to be carrying out baby." Jin I have found a lot of woman who can be great surrogates. Please reconsider." She said as she held my bicep.

"No Soomin. I think that Y/N will be great for the job. She also needs the money and I have known her for a really long time. I know she will look after our baby. She is very responsible." I explained as I got out of her grip.

"That proves my point even more. If she is only in it for the money then how do we know she will take good care of our baby. Has she ever even done this before?" She asked as we continued walking.

"No but I have full trust in her.

"Well I don't. Please let's just find someone who has more experience Jin. You don't want to put our child on danger do you?" She insisted which made me get annoyed.

"No Soomin. I already told you that Y/N is more than capable and she will not put out child in harm's way. We are going with Y/N and that is final. No one else." I responded a bit harshly before getting into the car.

The journey back home was completely silent and totally the opposite of the one when we were coming to the hospital.

When we got home Soomin marched out of the car and straight into the house. I couldn't help but to sigh thinking back to the way I treated her. I felt a bit guilty for using that time with her.

After taking a minute for a breather before I walked into the house to find her sulking in the living room. It made me feel really bad.

I slowly walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her. She began fighting to get out of my embrace but that only made me tighten my arms around her.

"Minni I'm sorry." I apologized and she immediately stopped moving.

"Y-you haven't called me that in so long." She quietly stuttered and I felt the shivers that went down her spine as I breathed into her neck.

"I know and I shouldn't have treated you the way I did earlier. I'm really sorry. I just wanted you to have a little faith in me. I didn't just choose Y/N to be our surrogate just because she is my friend. I chose her because I know how responsible she is with children. She is also a nurse who deals with kids so she would naturally know more about babies and pregnancy than us. That's why I saw her as the perfect person to do this for us. But if you want us to find someone else then I guess we could." I explained as I slowly let her go to turn her to me.

"Why didn't you tell me that earlier?" She asked and I could a hit of guilt in her beautiful hazel orbs.

"Because you really didn't give me a chance to and you also always know how to get me riled up." I playfully smirked and pinched her side which made her giggle.

"I guess we can go with this Y/N but I want to meet her first before we do the procedure." She said before wrapping her arms around my neck.

"You will. I promise." I responded as I returned the hug.

"I love you Jin."

"I love you too Soomin." I whispered as I felt something I hadn't felt in years.
