We worked another case the next days and when we returned home on Saturday, an emergency came in during the night. Hotch sent a group text at 6 am saying that we have a new case in Idaho and we'll do the briefing during our flight.
I was already awake so I got ready quickly and picked up some breakfast on my way to the airport. I am the first one on the jet. I take a seat and I check my phone. 6:34 am. I sit back and I keep browsing on my phone, while finishing up my breakfast bagel.
"Oh, good morning" Hotch says surprised as he enters
"Good morning. Something wrong?" I ask
"No, it's just that I've always been the first one here" he answers as he sits
"Sorry to ruin your record" I chuckle
"It doesn't count if you haven't slept all night" he says
"I got a couple of hours..." I admit
"I guess it's better than nothing" he replies. "On another note, I'm sorry to ruin your Sunday" he says and gives me a case file.
"Don't worry, I didn't have any plans".

"I believe anything would be better than a child abduction" he replies
"Yeah" I sigh and I look at the file.
7-year-old boy went missing and the details of the abduction match another abduction in the area from 6 months ago. That boy was found dead in the woods a 3 weeks later.
"Lexie?" Hotch calls to take my attention back "Would you like t--".
He gets interrupted by someone coming in. "I hate last minute calls" Emily groans as she walks in
"Good morning to you too" I chuckle. "Hotch, you were saying?" I ask him in a lower voice
"I... it can wait" he answers and I nod. I turn to my side and I start to chat with Emily.
The case turns out to be in a small town in Idaho that is not usually visited by tourists so there are not many stay options, which didn't accord to us as a problem until we got to the motel that night.
When the others went in, my phone started ringing. I stayed outside to answer.
"I'm not sleeping with Reid" I hear Morgan's voice as I approach
"Fine. I can get Reid" JJ offers
"Good. JJ with Reid..." Hotch says and tosses a key to JJ "Prentiss with Morgan..." he tosses a key to Morgan
"No!" Emily complains but he ignores her
"Dave..." he tosses him a key as well.
They all start walking away from the lobby and towards their room. "What was that?" I ask.
