Too Tall walks back in with Shorty attached to his hip. My heart drops as he kisses her head. The room is spinning. "Exuse me. " I say standing up from the couch and running outside. I hear Lindsey call my name but it doesn't matter. Nothing matters. Tears are sliding down my cheek slowly until I have a waterfall exploding from my eyes. I run to Shorty's hotel room and hide out there with her roommates.
TNT comes up to me a rubs her hand on my back. "Moose honey what's wrong." Suddenly she's all mother like.
"Shorty and Too Tall are official now. I can't do this." I put my head in my hands and everything comes loose.
TNT looses her cool. "Moose. You mean to tell me you're in here crying over a girl because she likes someone else? What is this 4th grade? Get over it? "
Im shocked. The tears are still rolling and at that moment I knew I was alone. I needed to get my act together though. I have a game tomorrow and they're counting on me.
Shorty arrives at the hotel room while I'm still a mess. I get up to leave but she grabs my arm and makes me stay. The other girls slip out of the room silently.
I sit down on the bed and Shorty crawls onto my lap. She kisses my cheek.
"You better no be here to hurt me more." I say bluntly but holding her tight to me.
"Moose look. I love you. I really do but as a brother. Nothing more. I've known since day 1 you've had the hots for me. I'm flattered but Jonté is the one for me."
I kiss her. I don't know why but I did. The thing that surprised me is that she kissed me back. Then she stands up and leaves while the other girls enter again. To stunned to really do anything I go back to my room even though she was heading there.
