I hear a knock on the door all of us look at each other to see who had invited company. By the expression on everyone's faces I could tell that no one had. Seeing as I'm the closest one to the door I decide to check it out.
When I open the door I see that it's the girl everyone was obsessed with. I had to admit she was stunningly gorgeous. She wasn't my type though. "Oh hey Shorty. " I say proudly glancing at Too Tall to see his face light up. "Come on in."
She struts in and sees Moose first and smiles brightly. Then at Too Tall which reveals a blush. Then a warm smile at Hacksaw. "I rather hang out with the boys then be with catty girls. If you know what I mean. " she says before sitting on the. Couch next to Hacksaw.
Too Tall lays down on a bed and is messing with his phone. I could tell he was trying to get Shorty's attention without making it too super obvious.
"So Shorty you excited for tomorrow's game?" Too Tall asks without looking away from his phone.
"Something like that." She says nervously biting her lip. "What if I screw it up?" She asks looking at Moose for comfort which I'm sure killed Too Tall. Well if he saw it that is.
"You won't. Trust me with all the practice we've done and you've done. It seems so natural. I promise. Plus Coach knows us better than we know ourselves he'll take you out when needed. He knows." Hacksaw says seeming super relaxed.
She calms down then her face drops into a different kind of frown. "I'm sorry I must seem like some depressed noob. "
"Not at all. " I say and throw her a can of lemonade.
"Thanks." She says before continuing "Well I better get back. It was nice seeing you guys. See ya tomorrow!" She smiling with a thumbs up.
Too Tall sits up and looks Shorty for a second and then says "Hey Shorty mind if I talk to you alone before you get back to your room? "
"Yeah sure. "It the last thing said before they disappear into the hallway.
