As she lay on my lap asleep. I feel my phone buzz. I quickly answer it. "Hello?" I ask softly.
"Hey man. Its Moose."
"What's up?" I ask worried.
"You done with your date?" He asks me.
"Umm.. well."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, I'm spending the night at her house."
"Screwing the new chick already?" He sounded ticked.
"No man. Its not like that."
"Well, I want you to know I love her." His voice was shaking. Then he hung up.
Shorty stirred and sat up "What is it babe?" She leans against me.
"It's nothing I promise." I say looking at her sweetly but not doing anything to let her truley know my feelings for her. I couldn't do that to a brother.
"Okay." She says giving me a smirk. Before getting up. "I'm going to bed. Come with?"
I hesitate but then follower her upstairs. As soon as were in her bedroom she pulls her pants up and brushes her hair then crawls into bed. I get in on the other side. Basically immediately she cuddles up beside me. I wrap an arm around her and quickly fall asleep.
The next morning my phones alarm goes off and wakes us both up. Shorty moans and mumbles "turn it off."
I turn it off and get up. "Time for practice we have a game tonight the the rookies will go to watch until they're ready for the game. "
She moans and gets up.
