The Mistilteinn, Plantation Thirteen
Inside the Parasite boarding house of the Mistilteinn, ten recently-graduated Parasites gathered in the lounge of the house. They had just recently been discharged from the Garden and were soon about to receive their Parasite graduation ceremony from Papa at Plantation Thirteen in a few days. Like all Parasites, the ten Parasites were evenly divided into boy and girl pairs, each pair to be tasked to pilot a Franxx.
Unlike other Parasites, Squad 13 preferred to give themselves names rather than referring to themselves by their code numbers. Of the five girls, their names were Ichigo, Kokoro, Miku, Ikuno, and Naomi. Of the five boys, their names were Goro, Mitsuru, Futoshi, Nishi, and Zorome. Most of the squad was currently relaxing and conversing while relaxing in the lounge. Meanwhile, Goro and Ichigo were leaning on a wall, both of them relaxing.
"Boy... isn't it great that we finally graduated as Parasites now!" Futoshi said, "We've been waiting for this moment for our entire lives, and now it's here!"
"I'm happy that all of us are able to become Parasites," Kokoro added.
"...And no matter what monster we fight out there, I'll promise to always protect you Kokoro no matter what!" Futoshi added.
Kokoro then blushed at what Futoshi said.
"Bah! None of this lovey-dovey stuff!" Zorome shouted, "With my superb skillset and great strategic intellect, I'll best every Parasite out there to be number one and make Papa so proud!"
"Quit being so self-centered!" Miku shouted, "You know that you need a girl to pilot a Franxx you know, stop thinking you can do everything yourself as you always do!"
"Tch, yeah, of course I need a girl to pilot a Franxx, though it had to be you..." Zorome mumbled quietly.
"What was that you said!" Miku shouted back in return, catching what Zorome said.
"Doesn't matter, even then, I can pilot a Franxx all by myself and take on any Klaxosaur no matter its shape and size!" Zorome boasted, "I'm just taking you along for the ride..."
"You are so disgraceful! I'm just as good as you are, stop being so overconfident all the time!" Miku shouted in return.
"Whaaa? Overconfident!" Zorome shouted back, "Don't you call me that you!"
"You know, your partner has a good point..." a voice said.
Walking into the lounge was Nishi, dressed up in his Parasite uniform. He had black wavy laid-back hair that was neatly brushed down and his eye color was olive-green. Straightening his necktie, Nishi gave a smug smile to everyone in the lounge.
Zorome was slightly embarrassed seeing everyone in the lounge subtly agreeing with what Nishi said.
"Oi! What gives you the nerve to say that Nishi!" Zorome shouted back
Despite Zorome's remarks, Nishi ignored what Zorome said and approached Naomi, sitting down next to her.
"So... how is my new partner doing?" Nishi asked.
"Oh... I'm feeling as great right now as the rest of us!" Naomi responded, "We are all talking about how great it is that we are finally becoming Parasites!"
"Well, I too agree..." Nishi responded, "It is the goal of every child to become a Parasite like we are about to become, and I'm proud that we all made it to this point..."
Nishi then gently held Naomi's hand.
"Though... I'm happy that you and I are together." Nishi said.
Lowering his head, Nishi then gently kissed Naomi's hand, making her blush quite visibly.
