Marc POV:
Hannah is in my arms and I don't ever want it to stop. When she said she was going to miss me, I physically felt my heart shatter into a million pieces. If only she understood just how much I'm going to miss her as well. But when the bond is broken, it will be easier. The emotions won't be as overwhelming or even as strong. She wants to go home, I now that much. This is exactly why I need to create some distance between us. For both of our sakes.

She said that Kendal was here to apologize, but I know she is holding something back. I know Kendal doesn't feel sorry. If she even tries to hurt Hannah, I will snap her neck myself.

After a while we walk back inside and go on with our day. We eat dinner at the pack house, we watch a movie and then we go to bed. I could tell Hannah found it weird that I spent so much time on my phone. I thought it would be a good way to create a little distance. To not make it as intimate when we watch the movie, and to not encourage too much talking.

As I enter my room Hannah's scent fills my nostrils. She has been in here. She has been in my bed. After an of running I return home, just as the sun appears in the horizon. I put on my shorts and walk back inside. My phone vibrates in my pocket, so I take it out. It's a text from Alpha.

'Come by my office when you get the chance. Joanna found something"

A knot forms in my stomach. Has she found a way to break the bond? I hurry inside to take a shower and change my clothes.

As I walk inside I see Hannah in the kitchen. Her eyes scan me from head to toe before she look away. Her eyes looked sadden when she saw me. But why?

"Alpha just told me to come by his office. You should stay home today. I think Joanna got plans today as well" I lie, not wanting to tell her that she will be at Alphas office as well. I'm not sure why, but I don't want to tell her that we might have a way to break the bond before I'm sure.

"Okay. I'm still tired, so I'm going back to bed" she says and walk out of the kitchen. I feel like there is something I'm not getting. Is she mad at me? She didn't seem mad, but maybe sad?

I shower, change and hurry to the pack house. As I'm about to knock I Luna opens the door. "Luna" I say and give her a small nod. She gives me half a smile, but I can tell that she is upset. She opens the door wide and let me inside. Alpha and Joanna is already inside sitting at the desk.

"Marc. You're up and about early today. Is Hannah with you?"

"No she is at home. She was still tired, so she went back to sleep"

"Joanna found something, but we're not quite sure what it is yet"

"What do you mean? If you don't know what it is, then how do you know that you found something?"

"It is not written in English. But from the illustrations and the few words that I have been able to understand, it is about a bond between a wolf and a person who is not a wolf. I'm trying to ask around my network if anyone can translate, or at least just tell me what language it is. It's still early and some are in different time zones, so I haven't heard anything back yet" Joanna says her face turning a bit worried at the end.

"Okay" I say slowly trying to understand why both Joanna and Luna look so saddened.

"Well we don't know anything for sure at the moment, but one of the illustrations show a wolf standing next to a woman that.. Well.. she appears to be dead"

The words hit me like a tone of bricks. Dead.

"What?" I say through gritted teeth.

"I could be wrong. But I think we should wait until we know more about this before trying to break the bond. Maybe it's a warning"

"Are you sure you want to break the bond?" Luna exclaims.

"Yes. It's what we both want" I respond. It's not just my decision. Hannah doesn't want it either.

"But maybe it's because she doesn't know what she wants" Luna says

"She wants to go home. She wants to go home so bad, that she tried to run away. She would rather run through the forest and make up a plan as she went than stay here. She only stayed because you convinced her that it would cause me pain if she left. She told me" I feel my pulse rise as we discuss the subject. I know that it's going to hard when she leave but I can manage. I'm a warrior for goddess sake!

"Okay then. I'll let you know when I hear something" Joanna says and exit the office. As she walks out she doesn't meet my eyes. Luna has turned her back on me as well. Only Alpha stares at me with a smile I know isn't sincere.
