HER BIRTHDAY

This two years, it has been a long time, we are never able to properly talk or meet, this was the worse time, but due to my busy days it was somewhat easy to be without her and being with Pari for even sometime, she gave me lot of love. More than I thought I would ever get. That was it, I had wrote a perfect letter, I knew this will impress her.

I wore a dark blue color full t-shirt and a black color jeans, properly combed my hairs, she had set her birthday party at a private hall, it was among one of the hotel of baner road. It was night 10 P.M. I climbed two floors up, it seemed to be like a apartment, I thought I reached some wrong place, as I reached the third floor I heard a loud music, suppressed, from right side, I looked there was a door, I opened the door, the music went up, there was a security guard standing.

'Show your invitation,' he said.

I showed him the invite card Tania had sent me, he nodded and let me in, the music playing was "Party on my mind"

There were girls wearing expose dress, black, blue and many other girls, some other girl wearing a more short party dress, all people dancing like mad, I saw there was a bar at the side, there were 30 shots of drink kept, at once those 30 people standing took it. More people having bottle of beer in their hand, boys were looking more than handsome, did I even wear something good? This was the best I had, I pulled the sleeves up, to look a bit good, I could not take off this specs off, I will not even find Tania in here, people will going mad here. I went in, in the crowd of people. I dashed one of the girl, she had a beer bottle in her hand, she asked me out to have it, I shook my head.

'Why you even came here then? Its just drink and fun,' she said and started dancing with others. Was this what we call 'enjoyment?' I looked here and there, Tania was not there at all, I think she will be arriving at the last. I saw a big cake kept at the side.

'How are the vibes, people?' the dj shouted.

Everyone screamed out.

'Let that vibes go on,' he said and played a different remix. I took a side and stood over there. This was awkward for me in many ways, I did not even know a single person.

The doors opened, the music went off, there was a girl wearing a silver color expose dress, it was no one else but Tania, her dress had a shine as her face had, she was not wearing her specs, she had cut her a bit short and it looked more good on her. She was just changed, a cool girl. She got in and everyone went to hug her.

'So, everyone have it for Tania,' the dj said and started a new music.

'Happy birthday, Tania,' everyone shouted out. I tried to go in there but was not able to along the crowd, she had more friends than the people I ever got to know.

At final, I reached her, she saw me and ran towards me and gave me tight hug.

'She has Kunal, right?' I heard one of the girl saying.

'I am so happy to see you after this long,' she said.

'You look beautiful,' I said.

'Thank-' she was about to say when the music stopped, everyone looked at the Dj, there he was standing beside a guy wearing a black shirt with slevees pulled in, a white pant, perfect long hairs and didn't had specs.

'So, this beautiful girl has came here,' he said on mic.

'Kunal!' Tania said and put both her hands on her mouth.

'I need to say something to this beautiful girl,' he said and came down from the stage. Everyone gave a side. He walked in, the spotlight was on them and then the music started to play it was 'Tu hi hai' he started to do the lipsync along with steps and others, all the people got away and started to vibe behind her and all the boys went behind Kunal, leaving Tania all alone, I stood beside. He kept that singing while moving all around her. All gives a good vibes. The song ended. He took the proposal pose, he took out the box of ring from his pocket and opened it.

'Look, I don't know now, I prepared all this for you, this people are tranied, but you are not, I wanted to give a big surprise to you, my love and it is here, this ring and a question, will you marry me?' he said.

There were tears in eyes of Tania, everyone had a big smile on there face even Tania. She did not say anything, she nodded. Everyone shouted out with there heart out. He put that ring in her ring finger. The music started with a romantic vibe, all to them. I kept that proposal letter back in my pocket, which I had in my hand all this time. I clapped for them. I saw her the happiest in her life.

'Dude, play the freaking music back,' Kunal said, he got up, both hugged each other.

'I love you, Kunal,' she said.

'More and more and more, every single time,' he said and hugged her more tight. I got my side, I got out of that place, I could not handle myself from this all, I was out of the place. The music was playing loud, I was still able to hear the music, I got a call, I took out the phone.

'Hello, where are you?' it was Pari.

'Why do you care?' I said.

'Not able to listen,' she said. I cut the call and got of the place. I was not in a mood at all.

It was raining outside, I was always right, "Rains are never romantic"
