Three

We've been living out in the woods for just over a month now, Shane and I still have our secret nights but other than that, we're trying our best to survive. I was in the woods trying to find food while everyone else was doing laundry or like Shane, making sure the place was safe. I gasped when a hand wrapped around my mouth, I knew it wasn't Shane's hand. I was pinned against a tree and my eyes widened when Merle was smirking down at me. I pulled his hand off my mouth and sighed " Merle what the hell are you doing? I almost had a heart attack" " Sorry doll, I didn't mean to frighten you". " What do you want Merle? I'm trying to find food" " I wanted to have a chat" He grinned, " About what? We don't talk" " I know about you and that prick of a leader". My eyes widened as I stared at him " What? How?" " I heard you two the other night, it would be a real shame if your mama found out you were fucking your dad's best friend". " What do you want Merle? More food?".

" You" " I'm sorry what?" " You heard me sugar tits. Now take off those clothes". " What the hell do you think you're doing?" I asked as I slapped Merle's hand away from me. " Ain't it obvious sweetheart, if you want me to keep quiet then you gotta do favours for me" " What favours?" I asked suspiciously, " If Shane gets a taste then so do I". My eyes widened " You want me to sleep with you?"  " That's right, now do we have a deal or am I gonna have to go tell your mama about what a dirty little slut you've been". I stared at Merle in shock, he wasn't serious was he? As soon as he started walking away I grabbed his arm " Okay, okay please don't tell anyone". " Glad we have a deal, now take your clothes off, daddy's hungry".

I trembled as I pulled my shirt over my head and dropped it to the ground. I undid my jeans and took them off my legs as Merle stared at me stripping with a sickening grin. " That's a good girl" I closed my eyes in fright as he suddenly pinned his body to mine, his hands grabbing my ass as he shoved his disgusting tongue down my throat. His long fingers traced my side and were slowly making their way down my thigh when someone yelled his name. " Merle what the hell are ya doing?" Daryl asked, making his way over to us. " I was bout to have some fun, now get lost" " You gotta go, Shane's looking for ya. Its your turn to go on the run". Merle groaned before turning to me " We'll continue this later darling" Merle smirked before walking away. Daryl stared at me as I shook, putting my clothes back on.

" You alright?" Daryl asked, handing me my shirt. " I'm okay, thank you" I gave a small smile as I threw it over my head. " I'll make sure he don't bother ya again" Daryl said before walking off. I grabbed my bucket and walked back to camp, throwing it on thr ground before going inside my tent. A couple of seconds later Shane came in and zipped the tent shut, " Whats going on?" " Nothing, I just don't feel well". " Darling I've known ya long enough to know when you're lying, tell me what's bothering you". Shane stroked my face gently, " Merle" " What that redneck do now?" " He knows about us". Shane's eyes widened " He said he heard us a few nights ago" " What did he do?". Shane grabbed my face " Did he put his hands on you?", I turned my head away " I'm gonna kill him"," He wants to make a deal with me".

" What kind of deal are we talking about?" " He said he won't tell mom, if I let him have sex with me". " You are not taking that deal, alright? He isn't touching you", " If he tells mom-" " I know, but you can not let him threaten you like this". " What am I supposed to do Shane? If I agree then he's gonna start having sex with me, if I refuse then he's gonna tell mom about us and it'll cause hell. I don't know what to do". " Hey, have I ever let you down before?" Shane asked, tilting my head up to him " No" " Then listen to me, first off I'm gonna kick his ass when he gets back. And if needs be, we'll tell your Mom together". " What?" My head shot up to him " Shane she'll kill us". " You're a grown adult, you're allowed to sleep with whoever you want. Will she be pissed because it's me? Sure but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, okay? I ain't sharing you".

I felt my heart race as Shane pulled me in for a kiss, " You hear me Amber Grimes, you are mine". I could see Shane was thinking of something in his head before he left the tent and started walking around. I sighed as I held my head, how the hell did I end up in this mess. Later on that night we sat by the fire after eating, I had a blanket wrapped around me as we all talked quietly. I couldn't help but notice mom was glaring at Shane, but from the corner of my eye I could see Shane was staring at me. " Amber can I have a word with you?" Mom asked, I nodded and followed her to the rv, walking inside and giving her a confused look " Are you okay mom? You look so angry tonight". " Honey I've got to tell you something very important" " Okay, you're scaring me". I said as she grabbed my arms.

" Baby you have no idea how sick this makes me feel", " What are you talking about?". " Shane told me everything" my eyes went wide " He what?" " He told me about LA, and everything up to today". " Mom I'm sorry" I teared up " Please don't be mad at me" " I'm not mad at you baby, I'm mad at Shane". " I know he's dad's friend, I just can't help it", mom shushed me before giving me a serious look " Amber, I've been sleeping with Shane too". My eyes went even wider and I couldn't helo but feel sick to my stomach. " What?" " Since we started living here, I needed the company and he's my friend and yeah. He told me today he wants to break it off with me, because he wants to be with you".

" What did you say?" I asked slowly, " I smacked him silly, and I said it's your choice. I just thought you deserved to know what he's been doing with me". I nodded my head and took a deep breath as I wiped my eyes. " If you want to be with him-" " Are you crazy? He's been sleeping with my mom, I'm not going anywhere near him". " I said the same thing, I already moved your things into my tent, " Thank you". Mom and I made our way back to the fire, I sat down before sighing " I think I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight everyone" I smiled before I stood up and made my way to Shane's tent.

Just as I predicted, Shane came in and smiled at me. I raised my hand and smacked him as hard as I could across the face. " You sick bastard" I cried, Shane grabbed my hands as he looked at me " I know okay, I'm sorry I should have told you". " Told me? You shouldn't have slept with her, she's my mother" I cried. " Amber listen to me, it's over between us. I choose you" " Am I supposed to be happy about that? You fucked both mother and daughter and want me to be happy for picking me". " I love you Amber" Shane spoke up, " No, don't you dare use that excuse on me". " I know you love me too", Shane pulled me into his body " Let me go" " I know you want me Amber, I know you love me and you want me". " Let go of me Shane!" I cried as he pressed his lips to my neck " Let me go" I cried again.

The tent door opened and I stared in surprise when I saw Daryl staring at us. " She said let her go" " Daryl this doesn't concern you" " I don't care, she said let go, so let her go". Shane let go of me, I quickly grabbed Daryls hand as he walked me to my moms tent, " Thank you Daryl" " It's no problem, stay safe small fry" He said before I went inside. I silently cried into my pillow as my heart break hurt my chest so much. What the hell was wrong with Shane and what the hell was wrong with me for sleeping with him in the first place? Dad I wish you were here, I could really use a hug right now.
