"Strip," he said.

"What?" she questioned and instinctively covered her clothed chest. He gave her a 'really?' look. He'd seen her bare body lots of times... Like that and just casually, and now she had a problem?

She's definitely hiding something and... It's starting to scare me even more now.

"Now," he said. His serious tone made her sigh softly, but she nodded and did as he requested. "Fuck..." he cursed under his breath when he saw them.

Standing there in only her panties, he took in her figure with slight distaste; it was worse than he feared it would be. He eyed her and the pain and anger swirling in his eyes made her look away. Her hips, torso and stomach were bruised very badly, black and purple littered her skin. Her arms were cut up like pieces of paper along with her collarbone and random spots on her bruised torso.

He looked at her face that was still turned away from him, she looked ashamed of what he was forced to see; the images of who and what caused the markings that he had playing in his head.

"(Y/n)," he said softly, she refused to look at him. "Hey, look at me."

"No," she said, clearly crying.

"C'mere, baby," he pulled her close and hugged her warm body in his cold embrace. She collapsed then and there and fell into his embrace and he held her securely. "I'm not leaving you here,"

"You have to," she pulled back, but he buried her face into his neck.

"Never," he said and picked her up bridal style.

He looked her in the eyes with that 'takes no for an answer/try me' leader look before he laid her on her bed. She watched him as he walked to her dresser and looked through her clothes. He threw one of his shirts she stole over his shoulder along with a pair of black sweats. He walked back over to her and kneeled to meet her eye level. The hate he looked at those bruises made her heart tighten.

The terrapin leaned in and kissed her stomach. Leo tenderly kissed each cut and purple mark on her skin before he hugged her, his face buried gently into her stomach. Her eyes widened slightly when she felt the wetness of his tears against her skin.

"Leo?"

"I failed," he said softly, "I failed to protect you, I failed to be there for you when you needed me the most,"

"There's nothing you could've done,"

"I don't care about what you say now," he snapped and looked at her. "You were in pain, so much pain and I should have been there to stop it. I should've come to you sooner to make sure you were okay but I wanted to give you your space."

"Leo, calm down, they'll hear you," she tried to silence him.

"If either of them even tries to come in here, I'll kill them," he said, shaking with how much he was trying to hold himself back.

"Baby," she cupped his face.

"People like that don't deserve to be parents," he said, his trembling voice showed just how infuriated he was with the situation and what he was looking at. "They should be locked up for the rest of their lives, not wandering around like innocent civilians,"

This kind hearted soul... she fought back her smile.

He kissed the bruise on her neck softly and nestled his face into her neck while her arms wrapped around his. The fearless leader was trying desperately not to break down that door and show those two pathetic excuses of human beings what happens to bad people that hurt the one he loves most. He looked back and looked over her face, he took in every detail with a heavy heart.
