A month had passed since Purpled joined Hypixel High. Nothing, in particular, happened other than him finally understanding BW and SW terms. There were no world-eater attacks either, but Purpled knew it was because the teachers had upped the defences. There had probably been multiple attacks that he was unaware of. Even as time passed, Purpled couldn't shake what he found out in the library. Perhaps Mr. Xisuma didn't want to scare the students or make them anxious, but knowing information that no one else knew was weird. He and David told the others once, and they all agreed to let the teachers handle it unless it got too out of hand. It was a bit worrying how teachers kept giant monster attacks under wraps but Purpled felt like they had their reasonings.

"Are you excited for Spooky Day?" Astelic asked Purpled while she snapped a cookie in half for Rachel.

"Spooky Day? Like Halloween?" Purpled replied.

"Yeah! With the cool costumes and everything," Hannah added. "Hypixel takes these minor events to the next level, the school gets fully decked out and there's a celebration after school!"

"We're going to buy some costumes, you should come with us!" Rachel smiled.

"Uh, I don't know guys," Purpled shrugged.

"Please, Purp, we need someone who can drive a car," Astelic said.

"Yeah! You know how to drive one!"

"Well-"

"If homeboy's going then I might as well," Walli pitched in, leaning against the table.

"Oh, Mr. Wallibear's joining us too."

"You three are gonna walk around for hours while poor Purp's gotta follow behind and do nothing," Walli explained. "Man's gonna need someone to talk to."

"That sounds fair, at least we can all have fun while costume shopping!" Astelic nodded. "Shopping with friends is the best."

"How do you expect me to drive you there when I thought this place was just trees?" Purpled questioned. "I didn't even know big shopping centres existed!"

"We'll direct you there, don't worry, it's not difficult either," Hannah reassured him. "We just need to drive west for a bit until you turn right and then drive straight some more."

"Wow. You guys build stuff very... Simply," Purpled commented.

"The forest surrounding us is what keeps us safe, but you should know that," Walli said. He knew Purpled had been reading up on the history books.

"Has it been working, though? World-eaters still seem to be finding us," Purpled said, recalling last month's attack.

"If the forest isn't helping us anymore, then whatever defences the teachers are doing should be," Rachel said. "It's been a good month, they've probably managed to slow them down."

"Okay, enough about attacks and world-eaters," Hannah stopped them all. "Meet after school in the parking lot, we're taking Eighty's car."

"Why couldn't you have asked him to drive you?"

"He already drives me to my part-time job- Wait where the hell did you think I went for my part-time job if you thought it was just forest?"

"I don't know! I can't see past trees that are like 10 times my height!"

"Purp thought Hannah worked as the lunch lady or something!" Astelic burst out into laughter.

"Oh my God, shut up Astelic, I didn't!"

Lunch ended with everyone laughing at Purpled, even with how much he hated it, at least he was going to be distracted by tons of homework to forget. Mr. Xisuma assigned a lot of tasks for him to catch up, though the vice principal reassured him that all students who joined in these years get this much homework. It didn't bother the teen, the homework started getting pretty easy the more he understood the content. He even had to stop asking David and Sammy for help. The two reassured Purpled that they didn't mind helping him but he felt too bad asking them all the time. Purpled felt like he was adjusting to Hypixel just fine, he had a whole group of friends he could trust and the teachers were awfully nice to him, not that he was complaining. Even with the nice teachers and easy homework, he still barely knew how to hold a sword, nonetheless, fight with one. Sammy taught him briefly about knockback sticks but none of the students ever picked up a training sword. Apparently, that was only for graduate students, which Purpled thought was dumb, but only because he wanted to swing a sword around.
