After Ingrid left the room, she walked into a bedroom and sat on the bed quietly. There were so many mixed emotions running through her mind and body.

Happiness because she was awake, and with her family. Sadness that she wasn't with Kai. And disbelief, because she knows full well that their mother hasn't forgiven Klaus and the last thing that woman wants, is for them to be a family.

Kol had come into the room not too long after, and instead of saying anything, the two just held onto each other until they eventually fell asleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Ingrid woke up, she found herself still in the bedroom but instead of Kol next to her, it was Kai. The man grinned at her, but stopped when he saw the frown on his mates face.
"What's the matter, sweetheart?" Kai asked softly.
"My mother is alive. She forgave Klaus for killing her, and wants us to be a family again" Ingrid said, her frown deepening more.
"You don't believe her, do you?" The siphon asked, bringing the woman onto his lap and held her close.
"Not at all. There's something off about her, but I can't quite place it" Ingrid sighed, as she closed her eyes and relaxed into his tender embrace.
"So, tell me. How was the sibling reunion?" Kai asked. His heart skipped a beat when he saw the frown get replaced with a happy smile on her face.
"It was the best. Seeing them in person made me realise just how much i missed them. It was truly wonderful. All i need now, is you" The woman smiled, looking up at Kai's face and saw the warm smile on his face. Ingrid snuggled her head into the crook of his neck, making him place a soft kiss onto her forehead.
The couple just spent their time holding each other, talking every once in a while. But they remained together, not wanting to let each other go, only until Ingrid woke up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When Ingrid did wake up, Kol was gone, but she could hear music playing downstairs meaning all her siblings were awake. Having a quick shower, and dressing into something comfortable, Ingrid made her way to the kitchen for a blood bag.

While drinking the blood, the woman walked into the living room and saw her two brothers getting fitted for suits, Rebekah getting her nails done and Elijah looking at two different pairs of shoes.

"Ahh, there's our girl. Finally awake i see. Now, tell me how handsome I am? Seen as Rebekah decided to be rude to me" Kol spoke up. Pulling the blood bag from her lips, Ingrid looked at the suit and smiled.

"You look handsome, as always" She spoke softly. It's a good thing they have vampire hearing, otherwise they wouldn't have heard her. But when they did hear her speak, they all had bright smiles on their face. They've missed hearing her speak.

Ingrid sat herself next to her sister, and just basked in the relaxing atmosphere while the music played softly in the background. But that soon changed when Klaus barged in, looking angry as always.

"You went after Elena? What is wrong with you?" Klaus snapped, glaring at his younger sister who rolled her eyes.

"Here we go" The blonde sighed.

"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" Klaus threatened. Kol, who was sitting on the side of the couch, spoke up.

"Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have other tricks?" Kol teased, making Ingrid laugh quietly to herself.

"Go back to staring at yourself" The hybrid grunted.

"And who are you, my father?" The older twin fought back, causing Klaus to march towards him in annoyance.

"No, Kol. But you are in my house" He sneered, making Kol get up and walk closer to Klaus in a challenging way.

"Then perhaps we should go outside" Not liking where this was going, Ingrid quickly stood up and got between the two. She gently pushed the two away from each other, giving them a look.

"Enough. Niklaus" Came the voice of Esther. Ingrid tensed at the presence of their mother, and unconsciously stepped closer to her twin. Klaus rolled his eyes, and followed Esther out the room. Kol pulled his sister into a hug, and noticed how she relaxed instantly.

"It's okay, dimples. Now, why don't you and Bekah go dress shopping. Our sister has been dying to take you, and I'm sure it'll be fun" Kol suggested, as the two pulled away.

"Yes, finally i can have some real fun instead of watching you boring lot" Rebekah said, getting up from the couch and hooked her arm through Ingrid's. Kol gave his sister a kiss on the side of the head, and watched as the two walked out of the room.

"Hopefully now that she's been un-daggered, she might come out of her shell more" Elijah spoke up.

"I hope so too" Kol answered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The two Mikaelson sister's walked through the town, talking and catching up. Rebekah was happy to have her older sister back, she finally had someone to talk to and complain to about boys. Ingrid, although she is a lot like Kol, is the only sibling besides Elijah that Rebekah gets along with.
The woman was always there for Rebekah when Klaus would scare off or kill the men she liked, she would always let her rant or wipe away her tears. Ingrid was like that for all her siblings, and that's what made her special.
"Before we go shopping, I need to go to the grill and give an invitation to somebody" Rebekah said, as she led her older sister towards the Mystic grill. Ingrid already knew that it was a boy she was inviting, so she gave the blonde a knowing smirk which gained her soft jab in the side.
"Stop it, you look like Kol when you do that" Rebekah said, gaining yet another look but this time a I-wonder-why look. When the two walked in, the people inside looked to the women but they paid no  mind to them as they walked past Elena and Caroline.
"Careful, Caroline. It's all well and good till she stabs you in the back" Rebekah butt into the conversation. Ingrid's face instantly changed into a heated glare, as she looked at the doppelganger.
The woman's hatred started with Tatia a thousand years ago, who played with Elijah and Klaus' hearts. Then centuries later, the same thing happened. And now there was another one.
"What are you doing here? I know your mum's rules. No murdering the locals" Elena snapped, causing Ingrid to step forward in a threatening way.
"Careful, my sister may look innocent but if you mess with her siblings, you're as good as dead. And as for why I'm here, well that's none of your business. Let's go, sister" With one final glare thrown at the doppelganger, the sisters walked away from the girls and went over to Matt.
Elena and Caroline watched the sisters, and their eyes widened when they saw Rebekah handing Matt what looked to be an invitation.
"Oh my god. She's inviting him to the ball. Why is she inviting him?" Caroline hissed, looking to Elena.
"Probably to get this reaction from us" The Gilbert girl replied with a sigh.
A/N I know Ingrid doesn't talk a lot at the beginning of the book, but i've made it so that she's a selective mute because of her past. She will talk more further into the book though.
