Your eyes lift open.
The sound of silence is deafening..
You lift your head slightly, wincing at the sudden pain.
You look up to see Sans, his eyes filled with worry and happiness.
Was he waiting for me..?
The thought made a small smile creep upon your face.
"y/n! you're awake! How are you feeling? Are you crazy!?"
Sans' sudden burst made you jump. You honestly felt flustered by how much he cared.
You bit your lip, you can't help but feel guilty, being the one to worry him..
You scratch the back of your head with guilt.
"S-sorry.."
You twiddle your thumbs as Sans lets out a sigh.
"you really made us jump out of our skin kid. Heh... Paps was beginning to think you died.."

Your eyes widen at his words
Beginning to think I died!?
"How long was I out..?"
You heard yourself carelessly speak.
Sans' eyes were jet black.
It terrified you, no, intimidated you..
He let out a shaky breath.
"5 days..."
You're filled with disbelief..
5 days!?
Your eyes begin to fog.
Sans eyes jolt back onto you, with more concern.
"h-hey kid, you're okay, it's okay now, you've healed.."
You consider his words and look at your shoulder. It's bandaged up but it seemed like most of it is just a scar.
Much like how it was with Flowey.

The pain of not the shoulder but what you put the skeleton brothers through.
You don't think you could forgive yourself..
Suddenly something unexpected happens..
You felt arms embrace you into a hug, your attention draws to the holder, it's Sans.
You begin to blush at the sudden gesture as you sink into his surprisingly warm embrace.

Sans POV:

I sit as y/n is on the verge of crying. Without even thinking, I pull them into a hug. They're so warm...it's so nice..
I burn up at my sudden thought.
I felt them move closer into my arms. Making me blush more. Ugh.. What am I doing..?
I wipe away their tears, and their face goes slightly red. It was cute..

We sat like this for a good 5 minutes until they decide to speak, causing me to pay attention to every single word.

"Sans..?"
"Hm..?"
"Sorry.. For making you and Papyrus worry.."
"Heh, no need to be sorry kid, as long as you're okay Paps and I will be chilled to the bone."
"Haha, if you say so... Thank you.."

That laugh was music to my non-existent ears. God, what is this human doing to me? I have the sudden urge to protect them and be there.

Your POV:

We chilled and watched TV.
Sans was taking a nap as his head rested on your shoulder (your good one). No matter how much you try you couldn't stop staring at him, he looks so... Peaceful.. You sigh and smile at the sight.
You hear a low chuckling coming from the pile of bones.
"Like what you see?"
The shock and embarrassment overwhelms you as you turn away from Sans.
He giggles at your sudden movements.

WAM!

The sound of the front door slamming made you both jump, followed by the sound of a certain cinnamon roll.
"GREETINGS BROTHER! I HAVE RETURNED FROM TRAINING, NYEH HEH HEH!"
Papyrus freezes as his gaze meet yours.
You lift your hand and give a small wave.
"H-hey Papyr-"
You're suddenly embraced in a strong hug.
"OH MY GOODNESS HUMAN! I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE AWAKE! I WAS SUPER WORRIED!"
You hear snickers leave Sans' smile.
With the small oxygen you can grab, you reassured your puzzle-loving skeleton.
"It's okay Papyrus, but can you put me down? I'm still healing.."
The skeleton did as he was asked and gave you another hug.
"HUMAN I AM DEEPLY SORRY, I HAD NO INTENTION TO DO MUCH HARM TO YOU."
You return the hug and comfort the guilty-filled skeleton.
"Pap, it's okay it wasn't your fault. You said it yourself, you had no intention. Please do not be too hard on yourself."
You unattached your arms and stare at Papyrus' as they look down at you.
He soon sighs and his eyes filled with light.
"ALRIGHT HUMAN, IF YOU SAY SO. THE GREAT PAPYRUS HAS MADE YOU HIS FAMOUS SPAGHETTI FOR WHEN YOU AWOKE!"

You grin at the joyful skeleton, you're glad he is feeling better. He rushes into the kitchen until you hear the sound of plates smashing.
With instinct you rush towards the kitchen, unexpectedly stopped when a familiar hand grips your arm. You turn around to see Sans with a wide grin.
"Don't worry about it kid, it's normal. Also, I probably should warn you about the spaghetti before you have too much. It isn't exactly edible. Heh."
You slowly register Sans' words.
But before you could process most of it, a plate of spaghetti is shoved in front of your face, above a wide-smiling skeleton.
You smile, worried about the outcome. You grab a fork out of Papyrus' hand and hesitantly eat the spaghetti.

Within the first couple of seconds, you swear you nearly threw out half your insides. The taste is.. Well..
It tastes like pure poison..
You don't want to upset your friend.
You look up at him, his eyes filled with curiosity as to what you think of his dish.
You were able to put on a smile and a shakey thumbs up.
"W-wow Papyrus! It tastes amazing!"
The skeleton's eyes gleamed with joy as he ran back to the kitchen.
You smile until you hear chuckling behind you.
"Heh, thanks for making Paps happy, now let's get rid of this, shall we?"
You look at the short skeleton as his hand is surrounded by a low blue flame. Soon you saw the plate of spaghetti emptied and placed back in front of you.
You glare at the skeleton, wanting answers.
He shrugs and flops back onto the couch.

It's been a few days and you were living happily with the Skelebros. You still need to make it up to them for letting you stay. But they seem to enjoy your company just as much as you enjoy theirs.
However, the longer you spend under their roof. The more you question yourself and your judgement. Within the past few days, you and Sans would always end up alone as Papyrus would be at training or recalibrating his puzzles. Within those moments where it was just you and Sans, you both grew closer to each other, and every time you see him, your soul feels like it's running around the Earth.
I can't seriously like him.. Can I..?
The thought was debatable, but you pushed it aside, telling yourself he wouldn't feel the same.

Another couple of days pass, Sans is absent for unknown reasons and Papyrus left. You were alone in the house and decided to go look around.
Before leaving you grab a (f/c) jacket and cover yourself with its warmth.
You step outside into the white wonderland and notice footprints, much like Papyrus' and follow them. Leading you to the end of Snowdin and into a dazzling, beautiful, wet environment.
You move forward finding yourself drawn to the area and lost sight of the foot marks.
