It's been over a year since you've fallen into the underground. Everything in your life was coming together. You have amazing friends and an amazing bonefriend. You even managed to talk to Toriel. Who has now taken the role of your mother.
You're glad to see her again.
But. . .
You can't help but feel there's something missing.
You have a feeling you know exactly what it is.
Despite what happened, you miss it.

The surface.

You wish to see the Sun and Moon. You wish to look up at the millions of stars that light up the dark sky.
But most importantly.
You want to do that with your new family.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The underground gets a little small once you've explored every corner and hole.
Though, you've never been to what they call 'New Home'
Sans forbids you to go there.
Overprotective much?
He doesn't want you getting 'any ideas.'
No matter how many times you've tried to sneak through to just get a peek.
He somehow always catches you.
Sometimes he says what it's like there and what it's been through each timeline with Frisk.
"look buttercup, i know you're curious, but you know you can't go there-"
"I know, I know. That's where the kind roams."
A pout appears on your face.
You thought that if you could talk to the king for just a minute. He would agree to not harm your and you both can find a way to break the barrier.
Your thoughts were broken by an embrace.
"I know what you're thinking y/n. don't do anything stupid. we'll get out of here eventually."
Sans finishes with a kiss on her forehead.
You sigh in defeat.
Why did it have to be monsters that were trapped?
The rest of your day went by as normal.
Papyrus and Undyne have cooking lessons. And surprisingly, Papyrus is actually improving heaps! You gave him tips on what can actually kill a human is they ate it- cough cough.
So he was now using actual ingredients.
You and Alphys hang out and watch Mew Mew Kissy Cutie.
And you admit. 1 is so much better than 2.
You visit Mum- Uh- Toriel mainly for dinner. You wish she could go out of the ruins herself. But you sense she still holds onto the past.
Normally Sans let's you and Toriel be alone to catch up. So you walk back on your own most of the time.
Throughout the year, Chara was able to make herself more visible outside your mind. Though only to you.
They're a very nice kid, though VERY stubborn and mischievous. Perhaps some of the 'corruption' still stuck. But it was alright.
It sucks this kid can hear some of your thoughts tho.
Chara tells you stories about their past in the Underground.
"Yeah! And me and Azzy tried to knit on our own for Fathers Day. I could never get the thread through the needle, haha!"
The more they talk about it. You fill with sadness and curiosity.
Sometimes Chara's able to share a memory. But you can really only get visions of surroundings. So that helps when you want to know about New Home.
But.
You feel pity for the child.
When they explain their past they're so joyful.
Especially when the name 'Asriel' appears.
Though, you can't help but feel there's more to the story.
You can only talk to Chara alone or with Sans. Cause, you're going to look absolutely crazy talking to yourself.
"Hey, Chara?"
They stop talking and gazes to you. Waiting for you to continue.
"You know how your 'spirit' is able to connect to my soul?"
They hesitate before nodding.
"Where is this going, y/n?"
You let out a sigh.
"Do you think it's possible if we made you a body with a vessel to connect to?"
You blurted out.
You know Chara would love to roam the Underground on their own again, be able to make their own friends, see their parents. This makes Chara and you Siblings.
The see-through figure stops. Silver begins to fall down their eyes.
Determination?
"R.. Really? You could do that?"
You shrug, making the child frown.
"Who knows, I could always ask Sans and Alph, you know how smart they are when it comes to these things."
A smile forms and immediately disappears from their face.
"Someone's coming!"
You freeze, awaiting for the presence to identify itself.
A familiar existence makes itself known. An existence you were glad to not have seen.
A small flower pops up in front of you.
You're about to lash out at it, but, there's something wrong.
The aura of this scenario...
"Flowey? Why are you here?"
The face of the soulless looks like tears are trying to form.
You notice that his eyes are not directly at you.
You look to Chara.
They're frozen still. Tears threatening to fall.
Chara? What's wrong?
You thought.
No reply.
You look back at Flowey.
His face begins to change, not to the old evil smile.
But into the face of what seems like a small young goat.
"Chara..?"
You're eyes widen.
How did h-
Before your thoughts could finish.
Unfamiliar Memories started flashing, one after another.
"Oh my! You fell! Are you alright?"
.
.
"Howdy!"
.
.
"I made you smile for noooo reason!"
.
.
"What's your wish?"
.
.
"I said I'd never doubt you."
.
.
"I-I don't want to hurt them!"
.
.
As the collison of memories fade.
Your eyes widen.
.
.
Those weren't your memories.
