Y/N sat up suddenly as soon as she recognized her mother's voice, and when she opened her eyes, she saw her looking with desdain at a Yoongi on the ground, showing a deep bowing and saying in a low voice that he was sorry, over and over again.
- That's enough. Get up, Yoongi, please. Who call you? - she asked looking at them.
- I did.
Namjoon was standing behind them, his shoulders slumped, looking tired, unshaved, and with dark circles under his eyes. It was the first time in all that time that she had seen him like this.
- But it was my idea.- Jin took a step ahead.
- That's not the important issue now. - Her mother cut them off. - And I must insist in you leaving her.
Namjoon and Jin lowered their heads in a bow and left the room, but when Yoongi got up and was to do the same, she spoke again.
- You can stay.
- Pardon? - her mother exclaimed.
- He did nothing wrong. It wasn't his fault.
- No, Y/N. They're right. We'll talk later, so don't worry.
And then, he proceded to walk away. Her father approach her bed and sat, holding her hands.
- How are you? Have the doctors told you when you can come home?
- Home... as back to your house? - she sat up even higher and felt a stab of pain in her ribs.
- Of course. We will take good care of you. You can't still being here.
- Why not? - she asked puzzled.
- Your ribs are hurting you badly, aren't they? Do you really think that man has time to do whatever you need? He couldn't protect you after all, and you were living with him. What will happen when he travel outside? Or even when he must spend his time working? We know who he is, who they all are. I don't know how you were involved with them, and it doesn't matter anymore, but it's not your place to be. - her mother said.
- We are not isolated from the world. And even if we were, I don't think there's anyone in this country who doesn't know the group. Though to be honest, we only became interested in them when a rumor surfaced that one of them might be having a relationship with our daughter. - her father explained with a sad smile.
- Those rumours weren't true. - Y/N tried to begin.
- They weren't off the beam... - her mother grunted.
- In all the years since I came to the capital, you've never contacted me.
- Now it's different, Y/N. - her father caressed her cheek lovingly. - Don't be stubborn. It's the best for you.
She was still in desbelief. They had let her down years ago, her mother practically kicked her out when she told them that she wanted to go to the university instead of continue with the family tradition. And now they were there, telling her that they knew what best for her, trying to behave like the past doesn't matter anymore, ignoring her wishes, even all her life in fact, beginning with her love for Yoongi. But one thing was true. The group was going to begin a world tour in a few weeks, and she would be alone. Alone in a place that those crazy girls known, as they knew her apartment the first time they were to find her, as her offices, maybe they even knew every one of her steps.
- I can't let them win. - she said finally.- I want to be with Yoongi when the doctors give me the hospital discharge.
Her mother blinked several times without hiding her disbelief.
