CHAPTER 8 - YEARBOOK
"Which way to the library, you say?"
"Huh?
The afternoon classes have ended. I was about to go home, but first, I have decided to go to the library to borrow some books for my own report. We each have to pick a novel and write a reflection about it. We are also tasked to identify the characters key characteristics and determine a certain part of the story that captivates us the most.
I wanted to utilize my own books, but I believe that it's better to have more references.
Felix isn't here, though. I think he already went home. After the incident, he didn't even talk to me and completely ignored me!
That ghost!
I knew something was off about him. I'm extremely eager to find out how he died and what caused him to passed away at a very young age.
I mean if he died of illness, I'm sure he would remember it even though he has already forgotten all of his memories. There's this lingering thought inside my head that keeps on saying that he actually died in an accident or he got killed. I don't know. I really want to know.
"Brooke?" I gasped when a cold hand landed on mine.
"Huh?!" I looked at Camille and my eyes darted to our now intertwined hands.
On my way to the bookshelves, I spotted Aiden entering the library with Vera Alegre. I knew it. Those two were actually friends. Well, they're a prefect match and honestly, their attitude sucks.
Rolling my eyes, I discreetly walked towards the next bookshelf. I couldn't find any good books that I can use. I wanted to choose something that will strongly catch my attention. I have read thousands of books and my standard drastically elevates when it comes to the contents and plots of stories.
"Fuck off, dude!" I jolted after hearing a loud voice nearby.
Aiden's laughing while raising his hands acting as if he's surrendering. "Chill, my man. I won't steal her from you. She's all yours." He said and looked at Camille who was quietly sitting on our table.
I already lost my interest to that book.
"Mr. Valenzuela and Ms. Alegre, hindi niyo ba alam na nasa library kayo? Bawal mag-ingay dito. I heard someone said.
Must be the librarian.
"We're aware, Mrs. Ramirez. Alright, we're heading out." It was Vera's voice.
