"Nathan!" Damon shouted up to his brother. "Come downstairs, please. We have guests."
Nate entered the parlour and frowned when he saw Pearl and Anna standing there. "Pearl!" He exclaimed with fake excitement. "How lovely to see you...fully functioned."
Pearl laughed. "Hello, Nathaniel."
"Ever hear of knocking?" Damon asked her annoyed.
"An invitation wasn't necessary." She said. "I'm surprised that no living person resides here. Is it just you two and your brother?"
Damon merely nodded with a grin.
"Yeah, how do you keep out unwelcome vampires?" Anna questioned curiously.
"Kill them." The Eldest Salvatore stated and sped to Pearl, strangling her.
Unbothered, Pearl grabbed his arm and started to twist it. Damon grunted before falling onto the floor.
"Damn." He muttered angrily.
The oldest vampire smiled. "Have a seat, boys."
With a sigh, they did as they were told and sat on the couch.
"I was hoping we could have a word."
Damon smirked and leaned back on the sofa. "Sure."
Pearl took a seat on the armchair opposite the brothers before telling them. "We've taken up residence at a farmhouse outside of town. It'll suffice for now."
The older brother gave her a confused look. "All 25 vampires?"
"Not all, some." She replied shortly. "I imagine that a few have already left town. Others are probably still in the woods, or like us, acclimating."
"Wait. How the hell did they get out of the tomb?" Nathan asked, mainly asking Anna.
Anna shrugged. "I think the witch screwed up that part of her hocus-pocus."
Nate grinned and clapped. "See! I'm not the only one that thinks she's like the hocus-pocus witches."
Damon took a deep breath and patted him on the head. "Quiet time now, brother."
"I understand from Anna that the founding families still have a secret council?" Pearl said making Damon shrug with a smug look on his face.
