AFTER EVERYTHING HAPPENED WITH CAROLINE YESTERDAY, Stefan watched as the kid that Damon had compelled got into a confrontation with Tyler Lockwood which soon turned into fists being thrown and being the protective uncle that Mason is, he jumped in to help his nephew but whilst doing so he revealed he wasn't just human but something else. Surprisingly Damon was right.

Stefan, along with Nathan and Elena, was sat in the parlour as Damon paced up and down, getting more and more annoyed at the fact he couldn't work the Lockwood out. "Ah, sit down, will you? I'm starting to get dizzy." Nate snapped and Damon spun around to glare at him. They still hadn't talked about last night, it may not sound like a big deal but he felt very betrayed by his little brother.

"Oh, I am sorry. Is this any better?" Damon asked sarcastically and started to zoom all around the room. Nathan scoffed at his behaviour. Damon stopped and smiled at his irritated look and opened his mouth to say something but the doorbell rang interrupting him.

He swallowed the rest of his bourbon and then placed his empty glass down on the table and rushed to the door to answer it. "Thanks for coming, Ric," Damon said in greeting once he saw the man they were waiting for and stepped aside so Alaric can enter. "Can I get you something to drink? Coffee, bourbon, bourbon in your coffee?"

Alaric declined the offer, walking further into the room. "Elena mentioned you needed my help."

"Yeah," Stefan replied as Alaric took a seat opposite him. Ric got comfortable on the couch as the youngest Salvatore began to explain why he was there. "We were hoping you could help shed some light on the Lockwood family."

The Hunter furrowed his brows as he looked at them in confusion. "Why would I know anything about the Lockwoods?"

Damon shrugged with a smirk. "Well, you wouldn't." He commented, sitting down next to Nate, who grimaced and scooted away from him. Elena gave him a 'really' look to which he just smiled at her innocently. "But your dead–not–dead vampire wife might."

Alaric looked down at his lap sadly at the reminder of Isobel. "Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together." Elena butted in before Damon could say more than he just did in case the teacher upped and left.

"You said that she had spent years researching this town," Stefan added to his girlfriend's statement soberly.

"Isobel's research here in Mystic Falls was rooted in folklore and legend," Ric replied quietly, not understanding what this was all about. "At the time, I thought most of which was fiction."

Damon smiled as he sarcastically commented. "Like that amazing vampire story." Nate whacked him in the arm and his fell face as he hit him back with his elbow.

"Will you two stop for two seconds?" The Gilbert girl scolded them angrily, getting sick and tired of their childish behaviour. The two brothers sent her 'angel' smiles making Elena roll her eyes and turn back to the hunter. "Aside from vampires, what else?"

Alaric shrugged. "The lycanthrope." He mentioned calmly. Damon and Stefan shared a look as the middle Salvatore leaned forward, suddenly very interested in what Alaric was talking about.

"Werewolves?"

Damon scoffed and shook his head. "No way. Impossible." He shot it down rapidly. There was no such thing as Werewolves, Damon was sure about that. "Way too Lon Chaney."

"Is it?" Stefan questioned him and Damon rolled his eyes at the fact that he was starting to believe it.

"I've been on this planet 160 some odd years." The vampire announced in annoyance. "Never come across one. If werewolves exist, where the hell are they?" Everyone sighed at Damon's question as they had no answer. The oldest brother nodded and smirked at their silence once they didn't say anything.
