"God, you haven't changed." Nathan commented, pouring himself a drink.

Damon chuckles, dryly. "Well, I can't say the same about you." He sits down on the bed as he looks his brother up and down, admiring all the tattoos he had.

"So, how are you alive?" Damon questioned him. "We watched you die!"

Nate turns to him with his jaw clenched. "No, you left me to die." A pained expression crossed his face but he quickly covered it up with a smirk.

"We did what we had to do." Damon stated, hiding the guilt that had been with him for over a century for leaving his brother.

The younger Salvatore mused. "Okay, fair enough." He turned to his older brother. "Tell me, Damon. Did you manage to save Katherine?"

The Eldest brother looked down and shook his head.

"Oh, what a shame." Nate comments, sarcastically. "Did you finally come to the conclusion that Katherine's a lying, cheating vampire slut, yet?"

Damon rushed at him, holding him against the wall with his vampire face showing.

"Katherine is none of those things!"

Nathan narrowed his eyes at him before sticking his hand into Damon's chest, and gripping his heart.

"Well, that was a stupid move." He laughed as Damon squirms trying to get out of his hold. "Woah, woah, woah, you may want to stop that. One wrong move and your dead."

For once Damon was actually wishing Stefan was there to help him.

"Brother..." He pleaded, quietly.

Nate chuckled. "Would you look at that? Damon Salvatore begging for mercy." He gave his heart one final squeeze before removing his hand.

Relieved, Damon slowly sunk to the floor. Nathan walked around him and towards the door.

"Oh, I'm gonna be staying for a while. That won't be a problem, will it?" Nate asked with a unpleasant smile.

The Vampire on the floor hummed, letting him know it was fine. Not that Damon had a choice.

As soon as he left the room, Damon was already calling Stefan's phone, which of course went straight to the answer machine.

"Hey, this is Stefan. Can't come to the phone right now but leave a message and I'll call right back...unless you're Damon. Bye." Stefan's voice came through the phone.
