Detour

As you swim onto shore GZ shrinks back into your body. 

GZ: This the place?

(Y/N): Seems like it. 

GZ: It's quiet. Doesn't smell like anything. 

(Y/N): He wanted just us. 

Cindy lands next to you. 

Cindy: The place seems deserted. Sense anything?

(Y/N): Not at the moment no. 

Cindy: If this turns into something more than a talk what do we do?

(Y/N): Fight until we could retreat. 

She grabs your hand then both of you begin to walk deeper into the island. Eventually you find a shack and hear humming coming from the inside. Upon entering you see Ultra (Y/N) sitting at an end of a table drinking from a glass. 

Ultra (Y/N): Aw glad both of you made it. Please sit down. We're just going to have a chat. 

He sets his glass down then his gauntlet glows refilling his glass. 

Ultra (Y/N): Cool right? Though it's harder to create things out of thin air it's not impossible. 

As you take a seat opposing him Cindy stands behind you. 

Ultra (Y/N): So serious both of you. You're probably the most serious couple I've met. You need to relax and let loose a bit (Y/N). 

(Y/N): I'll relax when you return to me Zoey's soul and leave my dimension. 

Ultra (Y/N): Oh yeah I still have her. Yeesh I kinda forgot about her. But I won't be leaving any time soon. You need me. 

(Y/N): I don't need you. We've been doing fine on our own. 

Ultra (Y/N): Well I don't give a damn how you've been doing. I'm on a mission. I have a promise to keep. Whether it's me standing in my own way it doesn't matter. 

(Y/N): A promise? Let me guess it has something to do with your little soul stone. 

Ultra (Y/N): So you managed to figure somethings out. Regardless I'm here to help her. 

(Y/N): What are you trying to do?

Ultra (Y/N): You know each of these stones were difficult to acquire. Nonetheless we did but the soul stone requires an exchange. You give that which you love. A soul for a soul. My Cindy didn't want to make that sacrifice but she didn't see the bigger picture. With Infinite power we could not only help our world but we could help others. As she fell from that cliff I made a vow to ensure that every Cindy I come across in any world will live her life the happiest she could. I'd save other Cindys at the expense of my own. 

(Y/N): Is that what you tell yourself to help you sleep better? You're not saving anyone you're hoping to fill a void you made because you wanted power. 

Ultra (Y/N): I'd be careful how you speak to me. I literally could erase you and every one you love. 

(Y/N): But that won't fill the hole inside of you would it? Infinite power and yet you're still searching for something. Something that even you can't create. It hurts you doesn't it? Every time you look at her it reminds you of what you did. I was ready to kill you but after I learned about what you did infinite power doesn't doesn't change how pathetic you are.

Ultra (Y/N) raises his gauntlet to your face. Each stone glows brightly in your face. 

(Y/N): Killing me won't make her love you. I think you've visited a number of worlds to know that much.
