The Grand Line highschool (modern!AU) (Shanks X Reader)

chapter Thirteen

Shanks POV:

Where am I it's so cold. I opened my eyes and looked around to find a note with three doors in front of me with 'heaven' 'hell' and 'earth' the paper read "dear Shanks choose your destiny"  without hesitation I walked through 'earth' as I thought of my friends and lover they needed me.

I can't die yet I have many promises to fulfill. Then it all blackout. I heard a maching working I felt something warm in my hand soft sobs reached my ears there was a nice smell that reached my nose I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't it was extremely hard.

When I finally opened them I saw my trio of friends trying to calm a crying y/n while saying 'it's alright' or 'he's fine don't cry' then Yasopp said "what about the food you promised us?" she stopped crying then punched him in the chest making him (Yasopp) fall then yelled "HE NEARLY DIED YET YOUR THINKING OF YOUR DAMNED STOMACH" that made me chuckle quietly and regretted it later cause it made my chest hurt and started coughing immediately.

Then all eyes were on me y/n launched herself at my side and started crying again. Benn called a doctor while the other two muttered a small "ah shit here we go again" they both then helped me sit up while putting y/n on the chair.

As the doctor came he checked my health and removed some of the monitors then excused himself.

Y/n POV:

As the doctor left I smiled slightly and took shanks hand in mine "Glade to have you back" I muttered "yeah glade to have me back too" shanks laughed. "you wouldn't  believe the things I had to go through this past few months the substitute teacher is like completely focusing on me during the lesson so many boys asked me out yet I rejected them all you should of seen their faces how do you feel btw? Does anything hurt? Are you hungry? Do you want food?" I questioned worriedly.

"That's great and all I'm  fine nothing hurt and yes I'm a bit hungry" he answered "right away" I then hurried to the cafeteria and back to his room.

I then feed him his food. He seemed pleased with it so I mentally checked it on the 'to do list'.

//A few months later//

(So like with my calculations it's  summer time as of with the valentine day I counted the 3 months time skip with a 1 month and another 2 so six Months in total and school started in September I hope I didn't  complicate things more)

Still Y/n POV:

A few months passed and I helped shanks around as he started getting used to living with one hand. I later on moved in with him as he requested me to so I can take better care of him and uncle agreed and said I was a grown up girl so I can do whatever I want.

I was now cooking breakfast until I felt someone wrap an arm around my waist from behind. "Good morning sleepyhead" I chirped "morning" he said sleepily while burying his head in my hair.

I finished breakfast then put it on a plate on the table. Shanks soon sat down and I took my seat beside him.

Over the past few months I spent here I realized that he likes being treated like a child and he gets cuddly very much when he gets sad wish is rare but still he likes cuddling I also discovered he might as well be obsessed with me with the way he acts and his willingness to hurt anyone who touch me it isn't off the table.

I might as well have separating anxiety cause I finally found someone who loves me and give me the affection I've lacked during my life before as a child. I feed him his food while he 'hum' in satisfaction then I received a call from luffy

"HELLO Y/N"

"hey luffy can you please not shout"

"yeah sorry for him y/n It's  me Marco and I was wondering if you and shanks would like to join us. We're going to the beach yoi" I looked at shanks and he nodded in approval
