The wolf's goodbye

"William, your enrolment at Eton College is coming up not too long. You need to commit to your studies more than you are. However, I do not think there will be a problem for you. You are doing exceptionally well in your studies" Lady Moriarty informed his youngest son. The table's atmosphere is more unnoticeably tense than usual which William sweatdropped at.
'Today is the day, huh. Since I was uncertain about the fire's timeframe, I have breakfast with them almost every day in anticipation of this 'trigger moment' happening. Mind you, I was not sure about the timeline of the fire. How did I know it was today? Humorously, I didn't... I'm just extremely lucky. Yesterday, I simply felt an unpleasant feeling in my stomach, however it could just be my stomach'
"Yes, mother but it seems I have been having a hard time focusing on my studies these days. After all, I have been living under the same roof as those lower creatures" William spoke with a frown, secretly took a quick glance at Albert before directing his attention to Earl Moriarty, "There's no telling what they might do to me if I lower my guard"
William chewed on his food, sensing Albert's disappointed gaze directed at him, 'I am sorry Albert but I need to trigger the following event. Forgive me nasty words to those boys'
"My darling, this has gone on long enough. Let's run those two off already. The younger appears to have gotten over his illness. No one will fuss" Lady Moriarty said to his husband.
Earl Moriarty was visibly displeased at the statement, "Don't make it sound so simple. Dismiss the orphans we took in? I will be the one who will take the brunt of it"
"If only they would only become a bother to the police, that would give us a reason to chase them out"
"Incidentally, William..." Earl Moriarty came to a realization as William turned his attention to his father. The boy already knew what was to be said, "Yesterday, I failed to tell you. As I was stepping out of my carriage in town, one of the peddler men offered me his thanks. Did you do some sort of good deed?"
"What do you mean? They must have had the wrong person. I may have rode the carriage to the library but I never once spoke to some common peddler. They stink of sweat after all" William took a sip of the glass of water before directing his caramel gaze at Albert. Smiling and in an almost joking manner he said, "Say, father, you cannot possibly imply that there's a boy who's dressed up as noble, and walking around the town addressed as me?"
Albert got stiff at his younger brother's words. He darted his green hues at William who innocently chewed on his breakfast, It's okay to trollface sometimes, right?'
"That's quite enough of that, both of you. We are eating, and you're being foul" Lady Moriarty scolded slightly tugging William's ear, "William, enough with your jokes. Eat your food"
