Sherlock smiled faintly, leaning back against the bench.

"It's quite elementary."

Felix couldn't help but mentally snort at the phrase. Hearing those words from Sherlock, in person, felt oddly surreal. He'd heard it so many times before but it sounds so different when Sherlock is the one saying it.

Damian, looked up at Sherlock with wide eyes. Compared to Mycroft, he was not making that sour expression.

Sherlock, without missing a beat, glanced at Felix's hands. "Well, you have got soap suds on your palms and the faint smell of cleaning detergent. That tells me you were in the middle of some cleaning task before you came here"

Felix followed Sherlock's gaze down to his hands, noticing the soap traces Sherlock had pointed out under his nails.

It was hard to hide a small, impressed smile. He hadn't thought Sherlock would notice that-let alone use it to draw conclusions.

Sherlock's eyes drifted briefly to the baby in Felix's arms.

Felix, trying to steer the conversation, tilted his head slightly. "But how did you know I wasn't just running away from the chores?"

"It's simple. The soap suds show you were cleaning and the fact that you're not in any hurry suggests you plan to return. If you were trying to avoid the task entirely, you'd likely be more anxious or fidgety, like you're in a hurry"

He added, "Seeing how keen you are on invading my space so causally only proves my theory"

Felix sighed, half-impressed, half-relieved. "You got me. I was just taking a break from cleaning my room. It's exhausting, Mr. Ottor."

There was a brief silence between them before Sherlock's lips quirked into another faint smile. Felix couldn't help but feel that Sherlock had figured him out a little too well.

Now Felix feels scared of a 12 year old Sherlock Homles.

The green eyes staring back at him felt like a snake, suffocating his lungs from the inside. It hadn't been this way before-before, it was easier. Now, it was like watching poison seep into his very chest, burning him from the inside out. The so-called snake clenched the wooden stick with its tail.

A cold shiver ran down his spine as he took a step closer. Without hesitation, he plunged it deep into Felix's stomach. The scream pierced his ears as he crumpled to the floor.

The air around him thickened with suffocating smoke-swirling, choking, filling his lungs until it was all he could taste--

A loud wail shattered the silence, pulling him back to reality. His breath came in ragged gasps as his eyes flickered open, disoriented. The faint clatter of a carriage ride broke through his haze.
