You just killed your pet with the unnecessary shrieking" Loki made a pretty unimpressed comment. He sets the book down on the table and glances at the dishevelled kid with a scowl. Akku looked down where Shawn fell before scooping up the raven in his arms and apologising to it. The whole ordeal is ridiculous to Akku who just happened to wake from a deep slumber. Next, he is informed about becoming an avatar? Akku's brain paused for a moment.
"I did not agree to this"
"I saved you from that fire and happened to send you back in time with your memories returning piece by piece"
Akku passed at the sentnace, "No, no, no, no. I made a deal with William and I came out of the fire unharmed as you can see and... wait, did you just say that you brought me back in time? That dream I had... was real?"
"Yes, the dream that you happened to have was real" Loki paused as he broke eye contact, "You died three times, Akku. This happens to be your fourth one"
Akku didn't say anything which prompted Loki to continue speaking. "Of you becoming my avatar was sealed after I shared my essence with you to preserve your life"
"You mentioned how this happens to be my fourth life. What do you mean by that?"
"The stairs accident, you died of a brain haemorrhage. That's when your healing factor finally triggered"
"Wow... I must have a knack for dying... hahaha... ha..."
'I think the child is broken' Loki sweatdropped.
The boy shook his head, completely nonplussed at Loki, "Why? Why go through all that trouble to save someone like me? Heck, even going as far as sending me back in time"
Loki tapped in the armchair, eyes giving a contemplating look, "Death is a trusted friend of mine and my actions caused some trouble which greatly affected the Underworld. Another reason that your soul couldn't cross to eternal peace that greatly confused us. Later, we find out that your soul started to slowly perish. That never happened before. He had no other choice but to reincarnate you on my request, child and..."
"And...?"
"Your soul easily crossed this world without any issue which further fueled Death's confusion but without wasting any time, he hurriedly transmigrated your soul into the vessel that you chose. Take note that a soul does not think but follows its instinct "
"Are you implying that it was my soul that chose this body? This world?" Akku was bewildered at Loki's story. It was one thing to find out that your soul started mysteriously 'perish' for whatever odd reason but to choose Moriarty the Patriot out of all things, 'Sure, my brain is stupid but my own soul to be the same? Now that's just embarrassing'
