When You Least Expect It

Chapter 3

Lily's pov:-

"So, we're playing Good Luck, Babe! first," Adam said to me and I just nodded my head. The stage was bright, and it got a little quieter when I got up. That didn't help my anxiety. On my right was Dylan and on my left was Sofia. I looked between them and they gave me a thumbs-up.

Then the music starts playing...

it's fine, it's cool
you can say we are nothing,
but you know the truth...

and guess i'm the fool
with her arms out like an angel
through the car sunroof...

I don't wanna call it off

When we finished the song everyone clapped for us, I'm not gonna lie, I liked the feeling. I feel like I'm finally being appreciated. We kept playing and singing all night.

Adam's pov:-

As I thought, Lily loved the attention, I know how bad her anxiety can be, but she was killing it. The others in the group were amazed, even Boss was amazed. She didn't go upstairs to her office.

We played all night, and now it's 2am, and I can tell Lily's tired. "Okay guys, that's it for tonight," I called, they all looked at me in disbelief. "You're playing with us, right?" Sabrina said, "yeah, he's probably just joking," Dylan said. "Well, at least for Lily," Lily looked at me, "what'd you mean?" She said raising her eyebrow, "you look tired, and it's 2am, you need to go back home and rest." I don't think she liked that, she just nodded and got off stage.

I got after her, "you're not upset with me, are you?" She stopped and turned to look at me, she looked at me for a few seconds, "don't do that, you're freaking me out," she smirked, "I'm not upset, you're right, I'm really tired," oh thank God, "okay then, see you tomorrow?" She stood there thinking, "maybe, see ya," she said, waving her hand and walking away.

Lily's pov:-

I was so tired, I'm struggling to have my eyes open, I don't know how I'm gonna drive home. I was heading to the exit when Ms.Cooper stood in my way. I looked up at her with my sleepy eyes, "you're going?" She asked, and I nodded tiredly, "you look so sleepy" I nodded again, "is Adam driving you home?" I frowned my eyebrows and shook my head. she tilted her head to the side, " you're driving home by yourself?" I nodded, "yeah, is there a problem?" "Yes, you're practically asleep," I rolled my eyes playfully. "I'm okay, I can handle myself".

She put her hand on my shoulder, "let me drive you," I looked up at her, is she serious? "Thank you, but I can handle myself," she nodded her head, "I know you can, but I can't send you like that, you look really tired. "She's right, I'm really tired, but I don't know, should I trust her?

"What about my car?" I raise my eyebrows, and she looked at me like she was thinking, "how about you ask Adam to drive it to your place," I thought about it for a second, "are you sure you wanna do that? I can take a taxi," she nodded, "I insist, please", I bite my lip and nodded.

Vanessa's pov:-

Lily went to ask Adam and give him her keys, and I went upstairs to my office to grab my stuff. After I grabbed my stuff, I headed downstairs. Lily was waiting for me at the exit. She looks so cute with her sleepy eyes, "Ready?" I asked, and she nodded tiredly, she's so cute! "Okay, let's go then," I said, walking out.
