Vee and I sat at the dining table after she took her shower, and we made the table, "So? How was work?" I asked while I was digging in my food, "I hired the girl, babe!!!" I raised my eyebrows in shock, "really? Like... Today?" she nodded enthusiastically, "How did you get her to sign so fast?" I asked again, then I paused and raised one eyebrow, "Babe? you didn't pressure the girl into signing, right?" "Now, babe! Of course I didn't, I would never," Vee shook her head.
"So what happened?" "get this. so, you know when she texted me saying she was going to sort some things at her job, she went to quit!" Vee said in disbelief, and I just nodded for her to continue, "of course, I knew that because she insisted on signing the papers today. Oh, and she's a student," I raise my eyebrows and shock, "she's a student?!" I said, stunned. "yeah, she said that she can't work long hours on weekdays because she's a student." Vee said nodding, and I nodded with her.
"What else?" I asked again, "OMG, yeah! She also said she lives alone! can you imagine," I chuckled at my wife's disbelief expression, "babe, most kids her age live alone, I don't see the problem?" "no, you don't understand, The apartment building she lives in, is a nightmare," I farrow my eyebrows in confusion, "okay... What did you do? What did you say to her?" I asked, and I could see the shift in her demeanor, "I asked her about her family, and she said, she doesn't have any family, not any who wants her," she said in a sad tone, while picking at her food. "oh poor baby," I said in sympathy.
I woke up the next day and checked my phone, and it was 6am. I have to wake up early to head to work. Vee was sound asleep beside me, I kissed her forehead and got up to get ready.
I took a shower and put on my work clothes. I got out of the closet after doing my hair and makeup and saw my wife sitting on the bed with her messy hair. I chuckled and walked to her, "good morning, gorgeous," I said as I sat on the bed beside her, "morning, and don't call me gorgeous when I just woke up, I know I'm a mess." She said, and then looked me up and down and bit her lip, "you on the other hand babe. are the most beautiful woman on the planet!"

I chuckled and got up, "thank you, love," I said, and kissed her on the lips, "anyway, I have to head out now." Vee looked at me in disbelief, "I know it's too early love. but I told you I'm going to hang out with colleagues before work today. We're going to have some breakfast before classes," my wife groaned and threw herself back on the bed, "are you going to leave your lovely wife have breakfast by herself?" She said dramatically with an arm over her eyes. I laughed at her and said goodbye, as I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs.

Today was the first day of the week, I have three classes today. I had got up early and ready. I got out of my apartment by 9:20am and on my way to campus I stopped to buy breakfast.
