Just another one of those days...

"The reefs in rotation again for ranked"

You and your friend Roder were figuring out what to do today since you guys decided to meet up today. Today was one of those days where you had nothing to do. There was turf but sometimes that gets a little boring. Ranked got a little too easy. Not a lot of people to do league with. Salmon run was closed. At least it was a good day to explore inkopolis before going to the splatlands..

"Hey y/n have you heard of the blue team?"

"You mean the team who beat you not once, not twice, but three times?"

"Wha- hey!"

"You asked!"

Well at least you had more time to tease rider-

"Well anyways they're right behind you"

All of a sudden you feel something drop. Your pants? Well yeah it's team blue. What else can ya expect. Well that's embarrassing.

"GOGGLES"

[Readers pov]

Well I'm guessing that's one of his teammates.. I mean he has blue tentacles and is chasing after the other one. Like a teammates should.

"Is that them," you say while slowly pulling your pants up.

"Yep- Goggles I swear to God," Rider replies while getting  pantseed by a certain blue inkling.

"Oh god," I replied while turning the other way.

I mean I knew team blue was chaotic but this is nonsense. No wonder rider's always complaining about them.  As I turn around I start to face an inkling girl with blue tentacles and headphones on. Oh does she like music? I'm honestly a big fan of music myself it's always fun to hear the different bands during battles.

"I'm so sorry about my teammate,he's like this a lot," she says

"No no! It's okay I understand,"I tell her.

For a while we just watch as rider and a boy with glasses run around chasing goggles. Well one I'm guessing that the one with glasses is specs, and two why the fuck does rider have his dynamo. Was he always this aggressive?

"Sooo what's your name," I finnaly got out of my mouth .

"I'm headphones! How about you?"

"Y/n I also really like your headphones. Listen to any good songs lately?"

[3rd Pov]

You two started to chatter about music and bands you both liked. She was a fan of the squid sisters. You liked multiple popular groups. You both had really good music taste. While you two were talking, rider gave up and came over just to realize you were already talking to someone else. Specs continued to go after goggles, and bobble? Bobble just decided to watch and see how this ends up.

"Would you like my number? We could talk some more in our free time!" She asked

"Oh of course! We could plan some time to hang out,"

[Time skip]

After time you and headphones grew close. You two were inseparable. Two peas in a pod. Every Thursday you guys would hang out and don't worry you still had time for rider and your other friends. Today she was wondering if you would like too come over.

Of course you said yes! Who wouldn't wanna hang out with their best friend? On your way you decided to stop at some record shops for a gift. You just wanted to be nice and grab her something that's all. After shopping you decided to get her some ear buds and a mix for the living tombstone. 

Walking to their house shouldn't be to hard. Pass a couple streets and buildings. You'll make sure to come back here some time after going to the splatlands. As you knock on the door it opens all of a sudden. Well I guess the knew I was here.

"Hey y/n!" Headphones greets

"Hello headphones! How are you doing today?"

"Pretty good! Specs took a well deserved vacation and I decided to make sure the other too stay in order while he's gone, but it can get a little chaotic," she replies. 

And then you two start doing you usual conversations about popular bands, or recent books you've read, maybe even TV shows that you've recently watched. The other two blue squids. Well they watched from a distance possibly knowing something you didn't.

All of you got to watch some movies, go play league, get good. All that good stuff. But eventually you had to go. Oh and don't forget you gift.

"Oh I also got something for you," you said.

"Oh same here how could I forget" she replied 

You hand her you gift she hands you hers. You both decide to open it when you get home. Her gift was just a small neat envelope. You decide to open it right here outside among the stars. Inside was a card. A thank you note! With some squid sisters stickers and a candy bar. After reading it all you notice one last thing in the envelope...

'I like you a lot would you like to go out sometime? Me and you?'

And of course you wanted to say yes. You pulled out you phone and soon you two planned a date. On a Thursday your usual day you two would hang out.

And of course it went well. Over time you guys shared a kiss. She became you girlfriend. And hung out a lot more. 

These days weren't so boring anymore.
