Chapter 25

It has been three months since Advitya and Meera's anniversary and both Advitya and Meera decided to tell the family about their pregnancy after a while. It will take time for them to adjust and they didn't want everyone to star going crazy this soon. Besides the family has been through some hard times in the last three months.

"Adi, I think we should tell everyone today. It's been more than three months and I'll start showing soon. They'll feel betrayed." Meera was in her office looking through some papers while also talking to Advitya on the phone.

"I am pretty sure they have an idea. You're extremely moody these days but I don't know how you act around them so..."

"I am not moody. I am pregnant. I am going through some stuff okay, you know nothing. It's hormones." Meera gritted her teeth.

"Acha sorry. You're perfect. Truly. We will tell them tonight when we reach home. I'll see you then. Take care, baby."

"Okay, and listen, don't forget to bring me donuts." With that she cut the call without waiting for a response and went back to work.

It was in the evening when Meera was set to leave for home that she got a call from Advitya telling her he'll be a little late. She really wanted those donuts, so she sat in her car and told her driver to take her home but to take a little detour towards the donut shop. She could've had it anywhere but she wanted to go to this particular shop that makes the best donuts.

She however didn't know that wanting a mere treat will cost her so much as the second they turned out of her office compound and took the first turn, a car from the other side crashed into them.

Swadheenta woke up with something wet trailing down her face.

What the hell is that?

She rubbed it off and turned to her other side. Similar thing happened and she repeated her actions. This went on for a while but then someone splashed around a whole glass of water on her face and she woke up with a jerk. She looked up at Ayaan and Ruhanika with a scowl.

"Bhabhi are you okay?" This came from Ruhanika who was looking at her with worry. Ayaan has a similar expression on his face but he was also narrowing his eyes.

"Ofcourse I am okay. Why?"

"It's noon Swara. I've been trying to wake you up since nine. You didn't even budge. I got worried so I called Ruhanika bhabhi. Even she couldn't pin point what happened, so the only way to wake you up was to throw water on your face." Swadheenta felt guilty. She didn't think all this would happen.

"Bhabhi, if you need help with anything just let me know. I'll leave you two to talk. Take care." Ruhanika gave her hand a squeeze and left the couple to talk.

Ayaan was glaring at Swadheenta. "Why are you looking at me like that? It's not my fault. I don't know why this happened."

"Oh, but I think you do know why this happened Swara. You know very well." Ayaan went ahead and pulled a glass bottle out from Swadheenta's side of the closet. Her eyes were as wide as saucers.

How does he know?

"Sleeping pills, Swara? Seriously? I expected better of you." Swadheenta broke down, again. She doesn't know what to do. She is hurt and even though it has been some time, she doesn't know how to move forward.

Ayaan's eyes softened. He can't see her hurt but he is helpless. He cannot do anything. He went closer to her, sat down on the bed and gathered her in his arms. "Swara, it's the course of life darling. Who ever is born has to leave one day. I know you're hurt. Rightfully so but please don't harm yourself."
