Opening her eyes she looked at the most beautiful scene she ever has. Even though she looks at it alot. Aarav was asleep on Ayaan's chest and the man had one hand keeping the little 2 year old baby secure while the other was holding hers. Swadheenta grazed his face with her fingers lightly so to not wake him up. He slept late last night. His work and needy little child take up most of his time and when he finally comes to her, she just let's him sleep with his head on her lap.
She isn't much different though. Being a working parent is hard but they both manage. It's luckily a Sunday and also a very special day in the family. She gets up to take a shower and leaves the room quietly. She meets Meera halfway who smiles at her and both the the ladies walk to the terrace. There he is.
The birthday boy.
Smiling and giggling in his father's arms, Ahaan is a beautiful boy. He just requires alot of attention. Abhimanyu was tickling his brother who was laughing in Aryan's arms. Ahaan is nothing like Aryan, and the dramatic man often gets disappointed. But he loves his son more than anything. One scratch on Ahaan and Aryan would come back after canceling a whole fucking tour.
Swadheenta went towards her nephew and took him in her arms. "Happy birthday bachha." She blew raspberries on his stomach and the little kid thanked her in his adorable broken words. All these little kids have brought a new life to the house. And all of them surely have their favorites.
Ahaan is close to Swadheenta, whereas Aarav loves Meera more. And Ruhanika sure is Abhimanyu's favorite. All the men are simply the cool uncles. Except for Advitya, since he is the only responsible one. No matter how serious Ayaan and Aryan try to be, one puppy eyes look from the kids and they'll be ready to do anything. They once dressed up the kids as animals and had a whole ass fashion show while the ladies were out, until Advitya came back and straightened both his brothers, who ran like scared chickens throughout the house. The kids sure had fun.
Ruhanika came out of the kitchen with her son's favorite breakfast. Pancake cereal. He loves them. She saw her son in Swadheenta's arms and smiled as Meera wished him a happy birthday. She never imagined to have such a wonderful life. Her family, all the people were so caring about everything. Her marriage was better than what she imagined. Sure, Aryan and her fought but who doesn't? Marriage is about growing together. They fight, learn their lessons, apologize, and move on.
She fed her son his breakfast along with Abhimanyu who sat next to her, feeding a bite or two to his younger brother. Abhimanyu is alot like Advitya. He always has his brothers backs. He is a strong kid, and very mature for a seven year old. He is a genius and the whole family is proud of him. They then heard a cry a little far away and just then a tired looking Ayaan came with Aarav in his arms who was crying a river. Swadheenta took her son in her arms and a second later gave him to Meera as he was making grabby hands in her direction. Meera got busy in showing the little kid random things, such as the trees and birds. It's funny how kids find everything amusing.
Ayaan wished the little kid as well, who gladly squished his uncle's cheek in between his tiny hands to thank him. Ayaan smiled as Ahaan started laughing as his beard tickled his palms. All the elders came and wished Ahaan a happy birthday.
It's time for his party now.

The whole mansion was decorated in white and purple. That's the birthday boy's favorite color. He loves anything purple. And so that is what was done for him. Purple balloons, purple flowers, even a purple table cloth and napkins. Swadheenta designed Ahaan an adorable little suit and Meera made a cake for him.
The party was in full swing with little kids, who were Ayaan's friends from the neighborhood, running around. Their parents were chatting as well as trying to feed their kids. The birthday boy was standing with his friends and showing off his little brother who basked in all the attention. Abhimanyu was sitting on a table alone, as he was older than all the other children in the room and younger than everyone else. He looked around for his mother and found her busy in attending the guests. He sighed. He missed his father. Advitya went on a business trip two months ago. The project is important and time-consuming. He hasn't talked to his father in a while and he feels lonely without him. He turns around when someone sits next to him.
Aryan smiles at his nephew and ruffles his hair. This little boy is the first born to all of them. Where everyone else is having fun and enjoying the food, this kid is sitting alone reading a book. He is Meera's son afterall. He would rather read than mingle with people. That is his idea of fun. Other kids in this party look at him and then run away. Aryan sighs. He can't really change the mindset of these young children but he cannot let his nephew suffer for something that isn't his fault.
Ruhanika calls everyone for the cake cutting and everyone gathers in the center. But before anything could happen, Abhimanyu ran towards the gate. Everyone turned to see Advitya with a little smile on his face, as he catches his son in his arms. Abhimanyu hugs the life out of his father with his little arms and Advitya smiles and squeezes back. His son is his whole world and he is going to enjoy it while he can. Since he is very sure when Abhimanyu grows up he will be just like the other teenagers who grow distant.
"You missed my birthday dad." Abhimanyu's birthday was three weeks ago and even though Advitya wanted to come back for it, his work didn't allow him. "I am sorry beta. But I bought you a plane as a gift." Abhimanyu was fascinated when he first saw his father's jet and told him he wants one just like it. Meera who was standing behind her son rolled her eyes. Advitya with Abhimanyu in his arms went closer towards her and kissed her cheek. "You bought him a plane? Adi, he is seven."
"Hello to you too jaan." Meera huffed but smiled.
Ahaan went towards his bade papa, running on his tiny feet and lost his balance. But before he could touch the ground, Ayaan caught his nephew. He picked the kid up and went towards his brother. Advitya by then had put Abhimanyu down and took Ahaan in his arms. He wished him a happy birthday and the little kid giggled while kissing Advitya's face. Who is return just smiled. Only the kids could do this to him. And this was a sight for sure. Advitya met his whole family and Aarav stuck to his bade papa for the whole night.
The party ended and everyone retired to their rooms. "Dadda, st- stoie" Ayaan smiled at his son. Even though he cannot speak proper words, he is very smart. He listens to every story anyone in this family told him. Ayaan picked his son up to go to Abhimanyu's room and saw Ahaan in Aryan's and Abhimanyu in Advitya's lap. They made space for him without a word. Even though their children are young and should listen to those kids stories about a good dinosaur or something, they always listen to the same tale. One the two younger ones probably don't understand but listen to none the less. The tale of love, passion, understanding and marriage.
"One upon a time, there were three brothers", Ayaan started followed by Aryan, "and they met three very beautiful and strong women." The story went on with the kids eyes drooping by the end. "And then what happened dad?" A sleepy Abhimanyu asked like he hasn't heard this story before. "Then they lived happily ever after with their children." Advitya smiled at all the three kids.
Meera, Swadheenta and Ruhanika went to find their husbands and saw them in Abhimanyu's room, all sleeping on their backs with their children on their chests. Ayaan was on the right with Aarav sleeping on him diagonally as his hand prevented his child from falling off. Aryan was on the left with Ahaan on top of him. His tiny arms were flat across his father's torso, who in turn had his palm on his son's back. In the middle, crouched between the other two was Advitya with Abhimanyu, whose hands were across his father's shoulders and his head was in Advitya's neck.
All three of them had a calm expression on their face. The ladies shared a smile and went back to their rooms after covering them with the duvet.
Life isn't supposed to be a fairytale. It's supposed to be a story you write yourself. It will be beautiful no matter what comes in the way.

I didn't plan to write a bonus chapter, but since a lot of you asked for one, I tried writing it.
I hope it wasn't disappointing. Tell me what you thought of it.
