"Max you're going to be late,"Robbys voice woke Max up from her sleep.

Max stood up and changed into her clothes.

Max grabbed her backpack and skateboard and walked into the living room/ kitchen.

"Bye Robby. Love you. See you after school,"Max called and with that she left the building and drove to school.

Max walked in the school halls to her locker before lunch break, as Kyler and his goons walked past her.

Max struggled to put all of her books into her locker, as Kyler slammed her books harshly out of her hands, onto the ground.

"What's up looser,"Kyler taunted and him and his friends laughed dump and walked away.

"Great,"Max muttered annoyed to herself, got down and started to pick up her books and papers.

"Here let me help you,"a kind voice said to her, making Max look up and saw an Ecuadorean boy.

The boy helped Max to pick up all her books and she put them in her locker.

"Thanks,"Max thanked him shyly.

"You welcome. Oh I'm Miguel by the way. Miguel Diaz,"the boy introduced himself.

"Max Keene, nice to meet you,"Max smiled and they shook each other hands.

As Miguel looked Max into her eyes, he thought that he saw them already at someone else. But he didn't know where. Not yet anyways.

"Wanna go to the cafeteria together,"Max asked Miguel, who nodded.

As they entered the cafeteria it was already filled with the other students.

As Max saw her two best friends Eli and Demitri, she headed to their table.

"Come on, we can sit there,"Max said pointing at the table and Miguel followed her.

"Hey can we sit here,"Miguel asked the two boys. Max already sit down. "Okay. Can I sit here,"he corrected.

"Sorry. As you can see the table is really blown up right now, but I can put you on the list. Probably next semester,"Demitri said sarcastically, causing Max to role her eyes at him.

"Okay then,"Miguel said and wanted to walk away.

"He's kidding. Of course you can sit with us,"Max stopped him and Miguel sat down, smiling warmly.

"So I'm Demitri. This is Eli,"Demitri introduced them and nodded at Eli, who looked down shyly.
"He's a man of few words. And Max you seem to know already."

"Nice to meet you guys. I'm Miguel. Yeah I met Max in the school halls,"Miguel said smiling.

Then something catches Miguel's attention.

The rich girls Yasmine, Samantha and Moon walked into the cafeteria too their table.

"Dude don't torture yourself. Those are the rich girls,"Demitri said to Miguel.

"And,"Miguel asked confused, not getting Demitri on what he was on about.

"Rich girls equally mean girls,"Max explained Miguel sarcastically as if he was a little child, causing Eli and Demitri to snicker.

"They're the meanest girls at school,"Demitri added.

"But only because they're rich doesn't mean they're mean girls,"Miguel said a bit still confused.

"You do realise at what table you're sitting at,"Max started.

"You blew up all yours hopes of losing your virginity before college,"Demitri added.

"Shit, Yasmine is looking at us. Probably making fun of me,"Eli said, trying to cover his scar on his lip.

"We'll I think you're scar looks badass,"Max smiled at her friend, causing Eli to smile a little.

"By the way, how is it at home with,"Demitri asked Max, changing the subject.

"Ah it's okay. Robby and I are pulling through,"Max answered, looking down.

'Who's Robby',Miguel thought confused.

"Oh he's my brother,"Max said.

"Oops did I said that out loud,"Miguel asked a bit embarrassed, causing Max to chuckle.

Suddenly Miguel stood up, heading to the rich girls.

"What are you doing,"Max asked him.

"Striking first,"Miguel said standing up.

As Miguel was about to walk to Samantha, Kyler and his goons arrived at their table and Kyler put his arm around his girlfriend.

Kyler noticed Miguel and winked at him smirkingly, causing Miguel to go back to his table.

"So how did it go,"Demitri asked sarcastically as Miguel sat down.
