Chapter-32

(KATIE)

Why does my head feel like I bumped into something hard and strong yesterday? Agh! My whole body is aching. What did I do last night? I remember going to the party. I asked Tay to let me drink. How much drink did I take? I think Sam was there too. Was he there? Did I imagine him? Ugh! My head! Can't I just take it out and keep somewhere until the hangover part is over? Why can't I remember anything properly? I didn't even change. I slept in the party dress? Who brought me here? If this is what people pay for drinking, I swear I won't ever drink again.

"Good morning, Miss. Hangover" Tay chimes in smiling brightly.

"Ugh! What's so good about this morning? I can't even lift up my head." I muttered under my breath.

"Here drink this. It will help you." She said handing me a glass of...water?

"What's the time now?" I asked but my voice came a little hoarse. Did I cry yesterday?

"It's 2 in the afternoon. Now finish it up and get off your stinky clothes, shower and come in the kitchen. I'll make you brunch." She said and walked out of the door.

Without any word I follow suit. I finish up the glass, it's honey water and yes I do stink. Yuck! I hate it. I am never ever drinking again. I pull myself up with lots of grimaces and walk in the shower. I get out and put on my pj because I don't have any intention of going out anywhere today. I don't blow my hair instead I let it down for air dry. Finally I reach kitchen and find Tay waiting for me. I whimpered and sat down on a chair and she gave me plate and a cup.

"What's this?" I ask pointing at my breakfast plate and cup.

"That's toast and that's plain ginger tea" she said as if I didn't know.

"I know it is toast. Where is my jam? And where is my coffee? And do you even call this brunch?" I said looking at her.

"No jam today and coffee or caffeine is a no-no for hangovers. So tell me if you want juice or else you have to drink that." She said pointing at the cup. "And for brunch I'll give you others just finish up those first" she stated.

"So much for getting drunk" I muttered under my breath. "Okay fine I'll just take this" I said sipping the tea. "Thanks." I said smiling.

"How do you feel getting drunk Katie?" Tay asked smiling and plopping down on the chair opposite to me.

"I feel like shit. I don't intend on doing that ever again." I said taking a bite from my plain toast.

"I thought so" she said giggling. "But you were so cute yesterday when you were drunk" she said still giggling.

"Hmmm...thanks" I said sarcastically. "Talking about yesterday. How did we get home?" I ask.

"You seriously don't remember anything. Do you?" she asked giving me a serious look.

"I think I remember something but I am not sure I imagined it or it really happened." I said grimacing.

"Well Sam came to say hi and found you all giggling and knocked out. I think he was a little pissed and hurt that you were drunk. But he really took care of you. He looked after you when you threw up. Listened and answered to all your shits. He brought us home, got you in your bed, took off your shoes and put a blanket on you. And he gave me all these hangover tips too. He really is a nice guy, a true gentleman. If any other guy were in his place he would have taken advantage of the condition you were in yesterday but he didn't do anything. I think he still loves you Katie." She said looking at me in my eyes.
