"Dad, I get it. I'm gonna be late if I don't go now. I'll talk to you later when I'm free." Momo was trying to mask her annoyance with her dad. She's too tired to talk to her dad right now, especially with all the business stuff they had been discussing since she transferred to Seoul.
Hirai Momo is an exchange student from Japan. She was forced to move to Korea in her senior year because of her dad. Thinking it would make her education track records better if she was studying overseas, as if it was impressive to begin with.
Well you see Momo isn't really the type of person who would excel in school. She wasn't the brightest person in that area, but she isn't dumb also. She was just as average as the next student.
What she excels though was dancing. Oh boy, if you could only see how fluid and precise her dance moves are when she gets the time off in her studio back in Japan with her personal trainer. Did I mention that she was not only pretty popular at her university because she's an heiress, but because she competes in every dancing competition whenever she gets the chance. Too bad dancing will always just be a hobby for her, at least according to her parents.
She exited her apartment in a rush to be met with her personal driver. She quickly told her driver to rush to the campus hoping she won't be late. Explaining herself to the professor wasn't a good situation she wants to be in at the moment.
Especially with her korean skills right now. She knows the language enough to hold a conversation but it takes a lot of her braincells to process it all. And today she wasn't feeling the need to use her braincells just yet.
It had been 3 weeks since she had been in Seoul but it still feels like it was her first day. She was thankful her parents forced her to study korean when she was a kid or else she would be a total fool right now.
She opened her phone to see if there were messages left by her friends. She immediately saw her friend's name on the screen indicating that the person was requesting a video call with her.
"Hey, how's Korea? Have you met any pretty cute girls on campus yet?" then wiggled suggestively to Momo.
Momo just rolled her eyes, pretending to hide her smile escaping from her lips. She missed Sana, her best friend, so much. Even if she was always annoying.
"How many times do I have to tell you. it's hard to talk to the students around here. Korean is actually hard." Sana just giggled at this knowing pretty well that Momo was never really fond of the language. Momo was about to ask her, why did she call her out of the blue when she suddenly heard a loud sneeze.
The next thing she knew she was hurled forward. The car suddenly stopped. She heard a sound clearly, that her car had hit something. She quickly turned her vision in front and saw a girl and her bike sprawled in front of her car.
"Momo is everything alright? Did you get into a car acciden--" Sana was clearly concerned but Momo had to check the girl they just hit. "Sana, wait this isn't a good time I'll call you back" she ended the call before she could even receive a response. What's more important now is the girl that they hit.
She quickly took off her seat belt, and opened the door. Seconds after the accident, she saw this incredibly attractive girl with this cute yellow and black checkered dress. Momo, felt relieved that it wasn't that serious, it seems like the car was slowed down enough for her to avoid having any serious injuries. For a second she thought they could have run her over. Now she was just staring at the girl that she completely forgot the death glares the other girl was sending her.
Once she came to her senses she kneeled on the girl and asked her if she was alright in korean, thanking her braincells that she didn't stutter at least.
"What do you think?" the other said while sending her the most terrifying glare she could ever see. Momo would be shaking right now if she didn't find this girl really pretty.
By that time her driver just came out of the vehicle. He was muttering apologies. Which she wasn't sure who exactly was he saying it for. He lifted the bike besides the car and set it aside. The bike doesn't seem to be damaged or deformed. Just some scratches but nothing that serious.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry I accidentally bumped into your bike. I sneezed in the middle of driving, I didn't notice you earlier until I was about to hit you--" He was interrupted when the girl snapped back
"Do you think an apology would make it okay? Huh? Now not only am I late for class but I now have bruises on my knees and not to mention my damn bike is ruined." She wasn't shouting but you could basically hear her anger as she said those words.
Momo hadn't noticed that the girl's knees were bleeding. "What are yo--" Momo took the girl's arm then wrapped it around her shoulder, she ignored the girl and started to help stand.
Momo was now mad to her driver for letting this happen. For Pete's sake, it was just a freaking sneeze. He could've slowed down to avoid this disaster. She knows it wasn't on purpose but seeing how a mess this is right now is making her angry by the passing second.
Before Momo could process anything she was slapped in the face by this girl. "What do you think you're doing? Get your hands off me!" She managed to throw Momo's arm back, it supported the girl's weight. The girl was about to take a step towards her bike when the girl felt pain in her left leg, causing her to fall to the ground once again.
Momo then did the only reasonable thing to do. She carried the girl bridal-style carefully and started to walk towards the car. She avoided the surprised look the girl gave her. The girl's left leg is Momo's priority right now. She couldn't let herself watch this girl wince again because of the driver's stupid mistake.
"Get us to the nearest hospital fast." Saying it with a tone of authority that she only uses with business stuff with her dad. Clearly seeing the situation the driver quickly opened the door and went inside the car. This girl was clearly not okay, there are bruises on her knees but the red shade her left leg is showing is a bad sign. That Momo certainly knows. They need to go to the hospital as soon as possible.
"Wait! How about my bike?"
"I'll buy you another. I'll replace it, don't worry." Momo says coolly. It's the least she could do after what happened. It's not like she doesn't have the money to afford it. Heck, she could even replace the bike by a dozen if this girl requested her to.
She placed the girl carefully on the backseat before closing the door to enter to the other side of the car. As soon as she put their seat belts on. The driver started to drive.
Someone's getting fired today. Momo thought. As they were driving to the hospital.
