Chapter 17: Friends and Hearts

Is this how single people live?

Sana questions herself as she walk across the busy halls of a mall utterly alone, as group of friends and couples walk pass her.

She had been busy buying every expensive brand she laid eyes to, but nothing can distract her from her thoughts, from her.

She passed another store or two still completely bored, when Sana felt her phone vibrate.

Thank god. Those two felt guilty for kicking me out earlier. She thought as she got her phone from her back pocket.

R u busy tonight? Got a party on my place ;)

The message was from Joy. Joy was... a very interesting companion to be with. So she was quite surprise to still receive a text from her, considering she wasn't talking to her and Irene's squad for quite some time now.

Nonetheless, Sana didn't have anything to do for tonight, so she grabbed her paper bags containing the overly expensive clothes and got inside her vehicle.

She checked herself once more assuring herself she was dressed appropriately to the party and drove her way to Joy's place.

When she arrived, it was not even a surprise at how many people were at the front yard, or how loud the music was blaring.

It is still a mystery how their neighbors were not complaining about the loud noise. But it was not Sana's business to ponder about.

She parked her car to the side, leaving her new clothes inside as she step outside.

A few eyes were already on her. As she walk towards the door. But it wasn't something new for Sana. It never was, ever since she was a Minatozaki.

"Sana! I'm glad you made it!" Joy slightly lost balance as she motioned for a sidehug.

"I thought you became tame because you keep on hanging out with Park Jihyo."

I thought so too. Sana mentally replied.

Sana just playfully laughed it off, as she went inside.

As usual, there were the sweat, alcohol and ear-numbing music present. Those three things never seem to be absent at Joy's parties.

She decided to go to where the drinks were. She was here to get drunk after all. Stumbled her way towards the drinks. Might even be seen as hogging the alcohol but Sana didn't mind.

Sana knew for a fact that she looked like a loner after she drank the fifth cup on the couch, away from the crowd.

"Sana?"

She turned her head to see where the voice came from.

It was Dahyun-no wait it was a drunk Dahyun.

Sana quickly rose from her seat and faced Dahyun.

"Hi" Dahyun stumbled a little while facing Sana. All goofy and cheery as ever.

"Dahyun, you're drunk. Where's the maknaes? Let's get it you to them." Sana gently took. Dahyun's arm to support her walking. She witness how Dahyun was eye smiling her one moment, then turned into knitting her eyebrows on the next.

"Jihyo unnie was a mess." Dahyun said all too sudden while they were walking. Ignoring anything Sana was saying.

It made Sana stop walking by Dahyun's words.
