Chapter 13:Cars and Seatbelts [M]

It was the last day of the school fair, it was time for the last event and the most anticipated one also.

It was what they call as Movie Night, it was always held by the really large makeshift screen with a set of expensive projector and speakers.

It was convenient that they placed the makeshift cinema in the field to accommodate almost every students that decided to spend the night out laying in the grass.

Mostly you could easily see couples bundled up, but there are still some group of friends who went too.

Like what Jeongyeon, Dahyun, Chaeryoung and Tzuyu were doing. They were quietly watching the film. Obviously not bothered that they were the single ones in the very romantic air they were currently surrounded to. 

Couples were the only thing the gang was surrounded to. Dahyun joked about how hopelessly single they all are, and how pathetic they were for the only ones there without a date. They just chuckled and continued to watch the romantic film.

While the four were chilling. Sana on the other hand was so nervous, especially when she asked Jihyo to come with her to watch the film tonight.

“Jihyo, you’re still my sort of supervisor, right?” Sana reluctantly asked Jihyo.

Jihyo just nodded slightly surprised that Sana wasn’t confident and flirty as she should be.

“Well, I kinda… wanna ask you to come with me to the movie night at the field later.” Sana tried to smile, but she knew the chances of Jihyo agreeing to this was low. But she knew that she had to try at least, right?

“Why me? Haven’t anyone asked you out already?” Jihyo was curious.

“Actually… no one asked me out yet.” A. Big. Fat. Lie. Sana had turned down so many people since yesterday, but she hoped Jihyo believed her.

Of course Jihyo didn’t, but she still went along with whatever Sana was doing. “What about Dahyun? or the others? Why didn’t you asked them?”

“T-they said they weren’t planning to go.” Sana lied. Today she was glad she had some acting experience. In order to pull this lie off.

Again, Jihyo knew better. She knows Dahyun and the gang were all coming. Dahyun even invited her to the ‘lonely and single gang’ she named.

“Well…” Jihyo was skeptical. Sana had been notorious for dating one person to another in a span of a day. So she was thinking if Sana was planning to add her on her list.

She was about to say no when Sana’s eyes were back to that vulnerable and glum look in her eyes. She only had seen it twice but she never wants to see it again. She pressed her lips and nodded for an answer.
