_Chapter Twenty-Seven_

Feelings felt

"Oh god, what happened to her?" I heard a female's voice

"She inhaled a toxic gas, can you do something?"

"Yeah, yeah!"

"Do you feel better now?" I opened my eyes to see Jadd, Ramis, Dania and Jayden standing very close looking at me.

"Yes" I replied removing the tube from my mouth and nose. I looked around and saw we are in Ramis's office.

"Y'all can move back, I am fine now" I said moving uncomfortably, they noticed that and moved backwards.

"So what happened?" Asked Jadd glaring at Ramis and I. what is his deal?

"We went after Kayrov" I replied

"No you went after Kayrov, did you really have to take that much risk? We agreed on staying behind Gen" Said Ramis frowning

"I couldn't see I had to go closer"

"What if they got you?" Said Jadd frowning deeper

"But they didn't"

"That is because he got to you first"

"Well I am fine now"

"Don't you get it, we can't lose you right now, this is the most risky situation to take a risk and why wasn't I informed of this?"

"She told me not to tell you and it is an order"

"Really now?" He huffed and walked out of the office

"Don't worry about him he will come around"

"I don't get why he is so angry I am the General not him"

"When feelings are included expect this things, you are becoming a huge part of him and losing you is something he can't imagine" Explained Ramis

"But he doesn't have to act that way" Said Dania

"Well if he is in too deep and doesn't get the same feelings back he loses control and acts anyhow" I don't understand the relation of all this to this conversation.

"What if she didn't understand him?"

"Then she should work harder because his actions always prove what he feels" They stared at each other as if we weren't there. I looked up at Jayden to find him wiggle his brows grinning. Dania broke the eye contest and ran out.

"Well that was intense" Said Jayden, getting a glare from Ramis and he ran out after giving me a peace sign and a dramatic bow.

"Thank you for coming" I said to him after some minutes

"I will always try and safe my family" He got up and went to his desk. I remembered how he said I act like his mother and sometimes like his sister.

"Ramis, can you get me Raya's picture?" He looked up at me before nodding and opening his drawer to remove it.

"Here" I collected it and stared at it, I am sure she is the same girl I saw earlier today, it is just she looked older but the same.

"I saw her" He looked at me immediately

"What do you mean? Where? But she is not alive"

"Maybe you think that she isn't but Raya is alive I saw earlier that is why I went to the cars to see if I could help her out"

"But that would risk you Fayrooz, are you even sure?" He said almost like a whisper. He sat down on the couch opposite me, his eyes tearing up.

"Yes I am sure, I didn't get her but the other device is with her, wait for her to hit you up" He took the device from my hand as tears fell from his eyes.

"Thank you I-I don't even know what to say, did you talk to her?"

"When I reached the car I could just give her the device and she had something closing her mouth but I did show her how to contact us"

"I really owe you one Fayrooz, thank you" I smiled getting up and taking my bag with me. He started crying silently, I stood thinking of what to do when Dania came in.

"Right on time, it is your duty now, take care of him, he needs you" She raised her brows looking at me before her eyes widened seeing Ramis, she quickly walked ahead to him.

"Great" I said and went to my office after an hour of working I left to go to my house. I saw my car outside and still in good shape, I walked to it as one sergeant came and gave me the keys. I collected it and drove to the house. I really need a hot bath and then I will look for Jadd and his grumpy self.

The sergeants by the door saluted me as I went in, I walked up to the main door, I opened it and removed my boots keeping it on the shelf, i turned and saw how dark the living room was, I slowly walked down removing my gun as I heard footsteps.

"Happy birthday-holy keep the gun down" Squealed Rooney who was running towards me. I looked around and saw Jayden, Haroon, Ramis, Dania, Liam, Aleem, Jadd and Ammar standing with Balloons in their hands and a cake in Jadd's hand.

"Happy birthday Gen" They said together

"Thank you all, this is quite surprising"

"We heard you usually celebrate with your soul alone" Said Haroon

"My what?"

"Soul, he meant Ammar" Said Dania. I looked at Ammar who is looking at me blinking continuously, trying to look innocent, one of the things you can't say no to.

"He isn't anymore, he said he has grown and doesn't need me" He pouted looking down at his shoes.

"I am sure he doesn't mean it" Said Jadd holding him sideways, he looked up nodding his head.

"Jadd stop entering fights between my boys and I" He raised his hands in surrender.

"Let's eat the cake now" Yelled Haroon

"Until the birthday girl says so idiot" Said Jayden giving Haroon a slap on the head. He pouted waiting for someone to defend him which we all ignored.

I moved and cut the cake then Dania took it to the kitchen table and cut it into pieces giving it to everyone, fighting with Haroon on the process as he asked for more. I still didn't get to talk to Jadd, I get interrupted every single time.

Looking around everyone is joking and it is all laughter something I haven't experienced in a long time. I didn't have friends, it has always being just me and Ammar, I couldn't be more thankful for taking this job offer.

"Alright good night Gen" Said Rooney, hugging me sideways. She, Jayden and Haroon left together and now Dania and Ramis are leaving too.

"Thank you about earlier General, I got to hear her voice" Said Ramis

"I am glad to be able to help you, y'all should rest today, later we will figure out how to get them back"

"Yes General"

"Off work you can call me by my name you know?"

"I know but it wouldn't feel respectful and you are one person I will always respect" He gave me a head bow, I nodded smiling, he turned and looked at Jadd who nodded at him.

"Bye love good night" Said Dania hugging me and then they left.

"Well, I will also leave" Said Jadd taking his coat

"Thank you for the birthday and about earlier I am sorry"

"I didn't do anything except help Ammar, I didn't see him outside today so I came to check on him and I found him trying to blow a balloon, you should forgive the boy" He said totally ignoring my statement about earlier.

"Okay I will do so, about earlier-"

"Forget about it, I don't have a say you are the General you do what you want"

"Will you stop already? I get it you are mad but Jadd it was the first time I broke down in front of someone and that too someone I have feelings for, it is certainly not the expression I want to leave..." I stopped my rambling as his eyes widened, he kept his coat and turned to me trying to stop himself from smiling.
