_Chapter Fourteen_

Confusion

As we came out of the car we met with the warmness of the afternoon sun, and a little bit of hot breeze but the heat wasn't much to cause an uncomfortable feeling but if you are coming from the east you will definitely feel it. It is visible when you see how Jadd has been removing layers of clothes he had on.

We got down and waited for Ayman to start walking ahead of us. I looked around the building, it has been really long since I came here and they modernized almost everything except the entrance and the design.

I looked back at the big black gate and then to the small but comfortable environment with parking space that will not contain more than two cars.

We entered the long corridor of the building with three closed doors present and then walked towards the staircase facing directly at the door and walked into a small opening which lead us to a Laboratory, with two men dressed in white coats and blue overall gown underneath. And two soldiers American and Italian both are Lieutenant Generals. There is a small hospital bed with a body on it which I assumed it is Nikolai's.

They turned and looked at us from Ayman, Jadd, Ismail and then me, their eyes lingering more on me. Then they saluted Ayman since he is in his uniform.

"Are you still taking your observations?" Asked Ayman

"Yes sir" The American replied. There is something off them especially the health personnel looking deeply at me. I ignored him as if I wasn't aware, I looked at Jadd who also has noticed it and looked away.

"You know Major Ismail, he is Major Jadd from the Egyptian army and then retired General Fayrooz if you are not familiar with her"

"Oh yes I heard a lot of stories about her but have never met her, it is nice to meet you Ma'am"

"You too though I didn't hear any stories about you" I replied

"Yeah I was the doctor that was treating General Ali after he got attacked by Kayrov" He stated I nodded and acted as if I didn't understand what he said.

"Can we have a minute with you sir? We are now done with the observation" Said the American, Ayman nodded and turned walking out with Ismail following him as usual.

"Ma'am" They saluted me, I gave them a short nod and walked towards the body.

I looked at the body with the unrecognised face and burnt body with three bullet holes on the chest area. The body looked damaged and as if it hasn't been alive in a long time.

"They gave him a really hard time from the looks of it"

"Yeah actually we had to run a lot of tests to actually know if it is really his body" Said the short doctor, while the tall one is still analysing him.

"But who killed him?" Asked Jadd

"It could be Black Wolf she does all the dangerous stuff" I said

"Yeah but it wasn't her" The tall doctor replied confidently

"How are you sure? You know her?" I casually asked taking a glove putting it on

"Well not me but my old boss knows her"

"Who is your boss? Weren't you always a doctor?"

"Yeah I have always being a military doctor but I was off duty for a few years because of a blackmail let's not get into that stuff! Either way I used to crush on her and then when I was jobless, a man called Mark Alfonsi found me and asked me to work as his personal doctor" He explained while I just listened looking at the body.

"He said she is someone close to him and casually tells me what she does"

"Oh that is nice" Said Jadd when I didn't talk, I looked up and signalled him to the door, he looked confused before nodding and walked towards the staircase.

"Do you still have the test?"

"Yeah"

"Can I have them?" I asked looking up

"I will get them for you" Said the short doctor and walked out of the room. I walked to the other side of the bed next to the doctor, putting my hands in my pocket.

"Can you give me that blade? I want to see the state of the body" I said to the Doctor

"Yeah but why are you checking it? isn't it like the special forces work?"

"Curiosity you know, the man made my life a living hell" He nodded and turned. The moment he turned I removed my gun hit him on the head with the ending.

Jadd came close to me as he fell with a thud and he quickly held his legs. While I held the hands we took him out to the car. I became suspicious of this place especially after noticing there is no any camera on.

"Here is the test, why are you outside already?" Questioned the short doctor.

"We finished observation and it was very smelly" Said Jadd

"Oh yeah what can you say of a place where we examine dead bodies?" He said shrugging before he walked in. Just then Ayman walked out with some papers in his hand.

"Let's get out of here" He said quickly. We left the place and on the way we Switched cars. I wonder what kind of a Vice-marshall Ayman is driving without back up or protection. I do that too but it is different situation when you have more than one appearance to the world.

"So I noticed that there is something off the doctor and I brought his files while you two brought him?" Asked Ayman, walking around his living room. We are currently in one of his 'rest homes' as he calls it.

"Yeah, he knows too much and he is definitely not a secret keeper so why not hear it first?" Said Jadd

"True bu-" Ayman started saying before his phone beeped he removed it and furrowed his brows texting

"it is weird how Kareem is asking if we are still at rescue home" He said, I shrugged and looked at Jadd

"So the doctor is half Australian and half Russian but is also Iranian" Said Kareem making him furrow his brows.

"Even to you that doesn't make sense man" Said Jadd

"I meant his mother is Australian, father Russian and he was born in Iran"

"But that is weird he doesn't look any of those two but a little more like Saudi Arabian"

"Yeah maybe because of the border?"

"Then it will mean his parents got into Iran illegally?"

"How old are you?" Jadd suddenly asked Ayman

"Twenty-Nine, why?"

"And you?" He looked at me

"Thirty-two"

"He is your niece and you are just two years older than him?"

"Yeah my mama brought me to this world at the age of 14, she got married quickly"

"Don't ask me about it" I quickly said it before any more question are thrown at me.

"Anyways we question the guy now or later?" Ayman asked

"Later I will question the Russian guy first" I said standing up

"I am coming with you" Said the two guys together

"No I am going alone plus I got the guy alone well with a little help from Alpha"

"Yes still but it is risky leaving you with him"

"Do you have a Beef with him?"

"No"

"Do you?" I turned to Jadd

"No" He said groaning, I nodded and walked towards the store he is kept in.
