//Ari

For the fist time in what felt like days, Ari opened her eyes and didn't feel tired. Her vision was back to normal and her brain didn't feel fuzzed over.

She cherished the feeling of rope on her wrists, just glad to feel something after being numb for days.

The brunettes happiness was short lived when she remembered why she was numb. The reason was probably sitting upstairs somewhere, eating bacon and eggs or something. Asshole.

Like a truck, memories of her drifting in and out of conscious ran through her mind uninvited. Kai fixing her arm, her being unbelievably happy when she found out about how much trouble he was in because she stole a horse, him upstairs talking to someone... him trying to grab her arm... a sharp sting in her arm....

From then on she didn't really remember, but right now... she was starting to feel whatever that sharp sting had been.

Before she could try and get a look at what it could have been, the basement door opened, revealing a tired looking Kai.

He wandered over to her and gently reached behind her, cutting her bounds and walking back over to the basement door. Ari stood up, unsure wether to follow him or not.

She made up her mind when he stopped at the cool metal door, opening in and waiting for her to walk out. She stumbled her way over, having to use her legs after so long of not using them wasn't going to well for her.

The shorter made it through the door and as she passed Kai she whispered an annoyed 'you drugged me asshole' then started making the horribly long journey up the stair case. She could hear Kai's heavy steps behind her. And thought she heard a just as annoyed 'your fault' whispered harshly back at her, but she ignored it.

She took this opportunity to look down at her arm, inspecting under her elbow, it was red and irritated, she could faintly see something black underneath it, what the hell?

When Ari got to the top of the stair case she spun around to face the lighter haired boy.

"What is this?" She asked, shoving her arm in ground of him. He slowly looked down and frowned, reaching out and gently inspecting her arm, "it's not healing as well as it should be" he grumbled, pushing past her and heading towards the kitchen, unlocking the door and walking towards the counters, stopping and reaching up for one that was very high, it was probably the first aid cupboard or something.

"No i mean what is it, what did you put in my arm" the taller ignored her and pulled down a first aid kit, grabbing some kind of ointment out and walking back over to her.

"Does it matter?" He asked, his attention fixed on her sore arm. He gently rubbed the strange pastel green soothe on her irritated arm.

"Yes it matters!" Ari spoke getting anoyed at his way of trying to dive any conversation he didn't like that he was having with her, she wondered if he did it to everyone.

"Well if you really must know... it's a tracker" he shrugged, finishing bandaging where he'd rubbed the soothe and looking her in the eye, seemingly satisfied with his neat work.

"You put a tracker in my arm!" Ari yelled, losing patience with this guy. "Hey don't yell at me!" Kai spoke, matching her volume, obviously annoyed at her 'snappy' tone. Ari opened her mouth to say something but closed it again, deciding just to be quiet instead, this guy had her location after all, and she didn't have anything to say to him anymore.

Kai noticed her sudden silence and rolled his eyes "You tried to escape, what did you expect-"
"I didn't expect the psycho who kidnapped me to have a tracker causally laying around his house" Ari huffed in an unimpressed tone.

Kai scoffed and grabbed onto her arm, "c'mon" he said pulling her upstairs, into a bathroom. He left and then came back a few seconds later.

"Here," the taller handed her a towel and a shirt, with a pair of black track pants. The shirt was a little big but the pants looked about her size.

"You know how to work a shower right?" Ari nodded in his direction, glancing around the bathroom. "Good you need one" he said rolling his eyes and fake gagging. Ari glared at him.

"Alright, Uhm I'll be back in 15 minutes" he went to walk out the door but paused turning around, "and i didn't have a tracker 'lying around my house', i called a friend" he spoke in a childish tone, making over exaggerated gestures with his hands, he then turned and walked out of the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Ari rolled her eyes then checked out the room a bit more. She attempted to open some of the draws but most had locks, the only one she was able to open was just filled with hair brushes and a few hair bands. Nothing overly useful.

The brunette gave up looking and instead opted to lock the bathroom door and turn on the shower.

She quickly undressed and held back a groan when she realised she was going to have to use guys shampoo, she hated smelling like a wet dog but decided it was better than feeling like her hair was plastered to her head.

Kai was back at the door by the time she opened it, having washed dried and brushed her hair, not bothering to do anything with it and just leaving it out, then getting changed into the strangely familiar smelling shirt and comfy pants. She sighed when he didn't bother greeting her, instead turning on his heel and heading back downstairs, Ari following behind him like a lost puppy.

He went and plopped himself down on the couch, she followed him with uncertainty. Letting out a breath she didn't even know she'd been holding when he didn't react, instead reaching for the remote sat on the handmade wooden coffee table.

He turned on the TV and opened up Netflix "what do you wanna watch?" He asked, turning in Ari's direction, she glanced up and him then back at the TV, covering up her slight shock. "Have you got Speed?" Ari said with no hesitation, she'd had a random urge to watch the movie for a while. He laughed "like the one with Keanu Reeves?"

She looked at him and found that he was grinning like some school kid who won an encouragement award from his teacher in year 2. She rolled her eyes "yeah that one." Ari found herself holding back a laugh as well, his laugh was so addicting. God dammit she was trying to give him the silent moody treatment, why was he making this so hard.

He shook his head then turned back toward the Tv  "Yeah sure, i think it's on Disney plus"

10 minutes into the movie, and Ari was starting to feel tired, when she'd been drug sleeping her body didn't really rest. Now that she could sleep drug free every inch of her wanted to rest.

She sighed and leaned her head back on the couch, closing her eyes. She could just rest her eyes right?
