Alyssa meets the Avengers

Alyssa stood there awkwardly along with the Avengers who had no idea of what to do.

"Who are you?" Asked the redhead. 

For Alyssa, it was so awkward standing there and no one said a thing. Not even Bruce or Tony and these are their friends.

"I, um, I- I'm Alyssa Montgomery. Doctor Alyssa Montgomery, a pleasure to meet you all." She said smiling politely but behind that smile, she was freaking out.

"Nice to meet you, doctor. Are you like Banner?" Asked the blonde muscular man.

"Well, I do have qualifications that are like Dr. Banner's but I do not have an alter ego." She joked about the last part.

"What qualifications do you have?" Asked another muscular man though his hair was slightly lighter, it was bordering on dark brown hair; plus it was spiky.

"Well, my qualifications include me having 14 Ph.D.'S, and yes one of them is in medicine. The others are in computer science, biochemistry, nuclear physics, theoretical physics, experimental physics, biology, genetics, bio organics, engineering, chemistry, biophysics, atomic physics, thermonuclear astrophysics and radiophysics. I am a medical doctor that is both in internal and emergency medicine and a world-class surgeon.

"I also won two Nobel Prize for my work in gamma radiation and one for my discoveries in the anti-neutron particle," She listed all of her accomplishments with a shy smile.

"Do you have any powers, abilities anything like that?" Asked another muscular guy though his hair was a dark brown very different shade from the previous guy?

"I uh...I...I"

She was starting to feel nervous but Bruce stood in front of her and whispered. "Just breath in and out, okay? You got this, don't let this get to you, alright? Just keep on breathing for me."

"Thank you, Bruce," She said, unable to look up at him.

"It's alright," Bruce lifted her chin with a finger. "If you don't want to tell them about your powers it's fine."

"I can't tell them. At least not yet." Alyssa said, looking at Bruce and damn those stupid dark brown eyes of his. It was like every time she looked she began to drown in them. Her cheeks were slowly rosing.

"She doesn't have powers," Bruce said as he kept a hand on her waist.

"Do you two know each other, Banner?" The blonde man asked.

Alyssa rolled her eyes.

"Yes, we know each other, Steve. We're childhood friends." Bruce said as he kept his attention only on her, not even bothering to look at the others.

"Trust me when I say Alyssa isn't evil. She's a good person with a heart of gold. So, if you think she can't be trusted, then that means you don't really trust me either." Bruce said as he finally looked at everyone.

Tony had finally looked up from where he was eying the situation.

"Yeah, I had the pleasure of meeting Einstein over here," Tony said as he walked over to Alyssa and Bruce. He put an arm around her. "She's smart, brilliant, kinda stubborn, get's upset over the tiniest of things but overall, she's a great scientist and an impeccable doctor. So don't doubt her or her intelligence."

Everyone went silent. They'd expected that sort of thing from Tony. Now they were just soaking in his words. Alyssa didn't look like a threat and besides, Fury had hired her and he could never go wrong with his choices.
