Chapter 27 Silence

We all got back in the elevator, and no one said a word. All you could hear was Verlis happily humming. The elevator ride seemed to be forever. I looked at Dan, and down at his hand which was forming a fist. I stood back a bit because, I knew what was about to happen. A few seconds went by until...POW. Dan slugged verlis dead in the face. Verlis hood almost feel down but he kept it up. They began throwing each other around, which had the rest of us backed up in the corners of the elevator. The elevator stop and the both fell out and we followed around them trying to avoid a punch to the face. They were going back and forth until Dan pinned him on the ground choking him. Felix and I quickly got him off of Verlis before he became the next to be.... Executed. As we got him off, he tore off Verlis's hood on his hoodie exposing his face. Everyone gasp at the sight if him, he had patches of fur missing from his face making him look scary. He smiled devilishly and trotted away. The rest of us walked to the cafeteria and decide to skip Dinner since of what happened a few minutes ago. We just sat there in pure silence barely looking at each other."I'm going to bed now, see you in the morning okay",Cry said sadly. Him along with   Tiffany, Felix,Mark and speedy, also went to bed. Drake,Ian,Dan and I were the only ones left in the cafeteria. Dan then stood up slowly and walked out the cafeteria, not saying a word to anyone. Ian was shaking causing Drake and I to look at him."I'm sorry I never showed anyone but Anthony this",he said. He threw a note on the table we were at. Drake picked it up and read it,"Meet me in the Computer room at 3:30, need to talk about something,Aph". Ian continued is plight,"Anthony saw that and he told me that he would go in my place"."Why would he do that, you both knew the note was suspicious why didn't you tell us all",I said.Ian started tearing up a bit,"He said even if we confronted her or them, they will still try to kill me. He didn't want anyone die, especially me since he cared for me so much. The last thing he told be before he left was,If anything happens to me, keep hope and I'll always be in your heart". Ian began weeping in front of us, Drake got up and patted his shoulder."Hey you need some rest I'll walk you to your room, Shadow I'll be back",Drake said. I nodded and they walked out the cafeteria leaving me alone with my head.(What's going on, every single last one of us is slipping, Our friends that are dead fell to despair, and temptation). Drake came back and sat down.We both sat in silence until Drake spoke. "I'm an adventurer, I've seen things worse than this, Sometimes I second guess myself,How am I the Ultimate Adventurer if I can't even handle this, I'm worthless",He said in a low voice."Your not worthless, if anyone should say that, it should be me, at least you have a talent to remember",I said."Besides, Being an adventurer, you must deal with these kind of task, this is what's going to make you stronger". Drake looked at me and a smile slowly appeared on his face."You always know the right thing to say at the right time.Maybe your talent might be 'Super Duper YouTube level Motivational speaker',he chuckled."Maybe, but it seems I can help other people with hope but not me, I'm slowly losing it",I said. Drake placed his hands on my shoulders,"Listen, you have all of us here to help you and maybe even verlis too, just remember you are not alone". I smiled happily,"Got it". He turned to the door of the Cafeteria and yawned,"Lets hit the hat, Tamashi might show us the 4th floor". I nodded and we proceeded to our rooms. I collapsed on my bed and quickly drifted to sleep.
