A few days have passed since me and Lizzie's date, we've been flirting a little back and forth throughout our day at work. Today we have a day off so I'm thinking about inviting her over to hangout. I pace around my room debating if I should invite her or not, I don't know why I'm debating. I like her and want to hangout with her outside of work so I should just invite her.. right? I groan getting slightly frustrated with myself and sit down on the edge of my bed.
Y/n☺️:
Hey Lizzie, I was wondering if you wanted to come over and hangout today?
I sigh putting my phone down next to me on my bed. A few minutes later I get up to go downstairs when my phone dings.
Lizzie😊:
Hey Y/n! Sure sounds fun, I have to get ready. I'll be there in like 20 minutes 😁
Y/n☺️:
Great! I'll send you my address
I send Lizzie my address as I walk downstairs into my living room. I put my phone on my pocket looking around the room, "Should I clean.." I say to myself. "It's not too bad"
"What's not too bad?" I turn around holding my fist up as I hear someone behind me. "Whoa hey it's me!" Ryder stands before me holding his hands up in surrender.
"What the hell is wrong with you mate!? How'd you get in here?" I put my hand on my chest feeling my heart beat starting to slow.
"I didn't mean to scare you" He chuckles putting his hands down at his sides.
"Scaring me is an understatement." I groan running my hand through my hair. "So why are you here?"
"I came to see if you wanted to hangout. Oh and I got in because your front door was unlocked" He explains pointing to my front door.
"Sorry mate I have plans already" I shrug sitting down on my couch.
"You got plans with Lizzie~?" He leans over the couch wiggling his eyebrows at me.
"Maybe I do. Now get out before she gets here" I roll my eyes shooing him away.
"Aw come on! I want to say hello to her!" He whines.
"No I want you out before she gets here" I get up and walk away into the kitchen.
"Come on mate! Just a quick hello then I'll be off" He pleas, following after me into the kitchen.
"Why must you stay and say hi" I query looking over my shoulder at him.
"Because I just want to say hi" He walks over and leans back on my counter.
Before I can say anything my phone starts ringing, interrupting me. I pull my phone out and see it's Xander who's calling me. "Hey bud what's up?"
"Would you be able to pick me up from school later?"
"Sure but what about mom and dad?" I query.
"They both have to work and can't get me"
"Oh alright, I'll gladly come get you. I'll see you in a few hours"
"Thank you! Bye"
"Bye kiddo" I hang up and put my phone back in my pocket. I notice Ryder is still standing here in the kitchen with me. "You can say hi but then you're off" I say turning back to my kettle.
"That's what I was going to do anyway mate" He laughs as I fill the kettle up with water. "Making tea?"
"Yep. I've been having coffee a lot recently, It's time for tea now" I chuckle walking over to my stove setting the kettle down. "I'd invite you to have some but you're leaving soon"
"To go cup?" He queries.
"What do I look like? A cafe?" I raise an eyebrow chuckling lightly as he now rolls his eyes at me. A few minutes later I hear a knock at my front door. I walk over to my front door with Ryder of course following close behind me. I open the door, "Hey Lizzie"
"Hey!" She smiles jumping forward hugging me tightly.
"Damn do I get an excited hug too?" Ryder asks making us both look over at him.
"Hey Ryder! It's nice to see you again" Lizzie let's go of me and gives Ryder a quick hug.
"Ha I get a more excited hug" I tease as she walks back over to me chucking.
"You get a kiss too" She laughs grabbing my face bringing my face down to hers. She kisses my cheek softly as she gets on her tip toes.
"Alright as much as I'd love to stay I will get out of your hair. Lizzie it was nice seeing you again and I'm sure I'll be seeing you a lot more often" He smiles nodding his head to us.
"It was nice seeing you too. I'm sure I'll see you again soon"
"Bye then I'm off" He waves to us before leaving.
"Anyway, welcome to my home" I smile at her.
"Thank you for having me" She smiles back grabbing my hand.
"Oh would you like some tea? I'm having some made now" I query starting to walk onto my kitchen bringing her with me.
"Sure I'd love some. Oh you're kitchen is beautiful by the way" I let go of her hand for a moment to grab two cups from my cupboard.
"Thank you, I actually quite like my kitchen. It grew on me after awhile" I laugh lightly, looking over my shoulder at her. She has the biggest smile on her face as she looks around my kitchen. "After I finish with the tea I can show you around my home if you'd like"
"I'd like that, if you don't mind of course" She smiles putting her hands on my counter as she leans back into it.
"Oh course I don't mind" I smile pouring tea into both cups for Lizzie and I. "Here you go darling" I hand her a cup noticing her cheeks turn a slightly red.
"Darling?" She queries then clears her throat.
"Oh I'm sorry, did you not like that? I apologize" I grab my cup nervously taking a sip of my tea.
"No it's not that! I.. I do like it. I just wasn't expecting it" I notice her cheeks getting even more red as her nervousness start to show.
"Then I'll have to keep calling you it darling" I chuckle and lean forward kissing her cheek. "Shall we start my house tour?"
"We shall" She smiles widely grabbing my hand as we walk out of my kitchen.
