"Luke!" I hear and I slowly open my eyes. The room was bright, the sun shining through the windows. The door opens and hits the wall.

"Morning." I reply, slowly getting up.

"Get up, there are people coming in here soon." He informs me.

I look at him confused and reply, "Why?"

"Don't question me. Get dressed and meet me at the bottom of the main flight of stairs in five minutes." Michael orders, and then turns and leaves. I sigh, my head throbbing and my eyes sore. I get up, and walk over to the door and close it. I look in the dresser with the simple clothing that Michael had provided for me.

I run my hand through my hair, surprised that it was still damp from the shower I took last night. I undress, and put on the new clothing. I wore a simple white long-sleeved shirt, and a pair of faded light blue jeans. I put on some new socks and then slip on the new sneakers Michael had gotten fitted. Most of the clothing had appeared in my room after the discussion I had with him yesterday.

I grab the comb off of the dresser and run it through my tangled hair. I look in the mirror, sighing at my appearance.

"Luke!" I hear from downstairs.

I put on some deodorant, a pleasure I haven't had all my life, and leave the room. I go down the hallway and then down the main flight of stairs. "We're going into the town. We are going to have some... bonding time... And I expect you to behave. If you run, or make any attempt whatsoever to try and escape; this would be your last day of freedom." He tells me, throwing a jacket on.

"Yes sir." I reply, cringing at the respect I have to have for him.

He opens the door, and the crisp wind hits my face. I shiver for a moment, but it did not bother me much. There were light grey clouds covering the sun, and you could tell that it was going to rain sometime soon.

He walks over to a jet black car with a white rim, and gets in on the drivers side. I hesitate for a moment before opening the passenger door. "Am I sitting here?" I ask, waiting for conformation.

"Yes." He replies and I get into the car.

"Do you not have some sort of chauffeur?" I ask him.

"I do, but I wanted it just to be us today. I want to trust you, Luke." He responds, not looking at me. I sigh and buckle myself in. He starts the car, and drives down the bumpy road and turns onto the main road.

"I'm sorry." I say to him, looking out the window.

"May I ask what for?"

I look to him but he keeps his focus on the road. "For everything I have done so far. My family is dead or gone and you have given me shelter and necessities most people should have. Such as bathing, and clean clothing. I would like to apologise for trying to run as soon as I arrived, and I promise that I will try to do what you want me to." I ramble. I didn't mean any of it. I am not sorry. I am mad at him. His kind killed my family. The only reason I am getting the stuff that I should have had is because I was taken prisoner; and now I am surrounded by these things I have resented all of my life.

"Well, that means a lot, and you're welcome." He says, parking on the side of the road. I look around, surprised at the beauty of the town. There is just something about bloodsucking killers that made me think not everything would be so nice and clean. I would have suspected blood running in the streets, many different things stained with different people's blood, and just revolting bodily insides.

Instead, there was brick sidewalks, nicely built buildings, clean paved roads, and people walking the town casually. Most people were dressed nicely and socialising with each other. "Come." He orders calmly, and I unbuckle and step out of the car.
