The next couple of days, Isoloses had an extra pep in his step every time he was around Naevys. He kept finding excuses to hang around in his office, doing dumb shit like organizing Naevys's disastrous file cabinets or dusting his shinies shelf. Which, Naevys really hated that Isoloses called it his shinies shelf, but it was just stating the obvious. Everything on it was shiny and old, his pocket watch included. Isoloses couldn't believe he kept the old thing out, honestly. In his opinion, it was kind of ugly, but... it was a gift that meant something to him.

Isoloses had carried it because it was given to him by his mother, at his birth, and birth gifts were important. While Isoloses hated his father, his mother... well he just no longer cared about her. At this point, they had no relationship and he'd barely even thought of her because he was just so consumed with his own life. There had been a time when Isoloses loved her, he guessed, but now it was like she'd never existed--her memory overshadowed by his father's cruelty. She stood idly by, being treated like a queen, and left all of her sons to fend for themselves against their father.

In his mind, she was just as much a monster as him, only in a different way. She didn't outwardly manipulate them, but she did nothing to protect them, and he didn't think it was because she was scared into compliance. His father was overly kind to their mother, giving her things she wanted constantly without much prodding. She wanted a giant crown that was made of pure silver, and she got it. She wanted heels made of the finest materials Caelestes had to offer, she'd get them. If she wanted something off-realm, it never took long for his father to find a way to excuse invading the realms.

And it wasn't like his father just wanted to take control of the realm, he wanted to overtake every other realm with demons, and eventually have nothing but demons or demon hybrids living. Isoloses didn't understand why overtaking the realms mattered so much when Caelestes itself was pretty much burning to a crisp. If he was just trying to move realms there were honestly easier ways to do so.

He was sure if that was what his father wanted, any of the magical beings would be glad to combine together to create a realm, that was the way the original seven were created in the beginning anyway. It wasn't impossible to do it again and to save their realms... Isoloses could see any of them bending over backward to make it happen. Isoloses bit his lip a little as he lifted himself up off of the mattress and glanced around Naevys's room. Everything was so cluttered, and it drove Isoloses just the tiniest bit insane.

Isoloses pulled himself up out of the nest--he had not told Naevys he knew what it was yet, but he didn't really know how to or if it was even something he should do. It was important he knew Naevys's intentions, but if Naevys didn't tell him himself, did that mean he didn't want him to acknowledge it?

He walked over to his dresser to pull out his chosen outfit of the day, which was pretty much the same outfit he always wore--Caelestes wasn't really brimming with fashion and the like, everything was very... military friendly, black, and shredded to help with the temperature outside. It provided airflow, which is critical when the temperature was over a hundred and twenty degrees on a daily basis. As they were demons, it didn't kill them or anything, but it was hot, muggy, and very uncomfortable. There was not a lot of moisture in the air, so it was a dry heat which was both good and bad. Good because it meant they could sweat as much as necessary, but bad because dry air irritates the mucous membranes in their noses.

It was a catch twenty-two during the Sunraise months when the temperatures were at their highest and the dryness of the air was like razors. Even during Frostfall, it was warm, and 'frost' was just a term meant to symbolize cooler temperatures. Even those temperatures stayed in the eighties. It was hell, utter misery.
