cxxx{}::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::⊳The next couple of weeks passed by with little trouble. Isoloses found himself falling into a routine. He'd get up with Naevys, spend his morning helping with whatever Naevys wanted, and then his evening was dedicated to playing cards at the tavern in Alyvahone. Naevys occasionally offered Isoloses out to assist with random tasks that he suddenly couldn't be bothered with. It was never anything serious, just little things like the R.I.A visits. Isoloses had helped them with security at an event where he'd ended up running into Cassian. It'd been a little awkward, but overall nothing had really come out of it.
In fact, nothing interesting had happened at all in the past couple of weeks. He kept winning poker games--enough that he had to be careful because people kept getting really mad over it. He couldn't help that he was better than them at keeping a poker face in place. He'd been raised by the king of Caelestes, he had to have a blank face when he lived at home. It was a habit he'd probably never completely kick.
The R.I.A had a bunch of random tasks his magic abilities were useful for. For instance, he could control burn the grass in the public park in seconds instead of the painstaking effort the elves had to put into it. It wasn't a big deal, Isoloses didn't mind. He'd also helped them with investigating a couple of random crimes that seemed a little ridiculous honestly but who was he to comment?
The majority of crime seemed to be stuff like property line disputes and disagreements between neighbors because that's mostly what they'd had him help with. He didn't know why Naevys kept sending him instead of going himself, but it was strange because he usually wasn't even invited along on these trips.
The partners he was seemingly constantly working with were a vampire with dark grey hair, who came across as someone who really didn't know how to take a joke, and a guy who seemed to be in a perpetually upbeat mood, and they seemed just a bit mix-matched all things considered. They didn't fight, but they didn't get along either way.
His entire day had been spent listening to them 'not' fighting, which was basically them fighting but not admitting that they were disagreeing. Isoloses had a headache, and he didn't even know what his purpose was for being there because they didn't really need him. They wanted Naevys's assistance not his specifically, so it felt kind of awkward to follow them around. They kind of needed him though, a lot more than he needed them because he was pretty much the tiebreaker. Without someone to break the tie between them, chaos would surely descend.
As they had probably one of the most boring jobs in history, Isoloses couldn't blame them for being discontent.
Isoloses sighed deeply as he let himself into the castle, glancing around the entryway. Fewer elves were running around today, which was strange because every other day they were buzzing around everywhere. It was significantly later than usual so he was unsurprised. He'd been all over Ilyenasera today, his feet hurt, his arms were sore and all he wanted to do is crawl into bed beside Naevys and go to sleep.
When Isoloses reached Naevys's room he pushed open the door and looked around taking in the sight of the empty room. Isoloses hummed and walked into the room, pulling his shirt over his head and tossing it into the hamper. He was so tired. Maybe if he hurried, he could take a nap before Naevys got home and decided to 'make use of him'. He never minded, his dick was up whenever Naevys wanted him, but still.
He sighed as he walked into the bathroom, pushing his pants and boxers down and stepping out of them. He turned on the shower, letting the water run for a second before he stepped into the shower. As he let the warm water run over his skin, he let out a deep sigh. He was sore as hell. Walking all over Ilyenasera was not good for his knees. He could've moaned, honestly, the water felt so good on his aching muscles. The water pressure was nothing to laugh at either.
