The days following Naevys's heat were surprisingly normal. The pair of them had only slept about fourteen hours after the final wave of Naevys's heat and his rut, which was surprising because he distinctly remembered sleeping like a day and a half the last time that it'd ended. The length of time was a lot more manageable for Isoloses, his cock wasn't even sore!

He felt like he was on top of the world in the after-glow of the relief. He felt so much better than he had the last time and it was so relieving. He couldn't imagine that being a rut cycle in comparison to the one before last--just based on how his body had felt. He had to grow accustomed to the way his body functioned without all the toxins inside of him, and he knew that but it was a little--surreal to realize how much of his life had been affected by his father. It was easy to overlook it after so many years, older memories get pushed out to accommodate newer ones, so he couldn't even remember what his life was like before.

Now that he had experienced it as... normal he supposed, it was a head rush. Part of him was filled with a newfound sense of rage and resentment, admittedly. He'd been miserable for centuries, so long that he couldn't remember the time before it, and all of his suffering with his mating cycle stemmed from his father.

Sure one could argue he'd consented to the treatment, and thus shouldn't really complain about the consequences but... well, he'd not exactly consented. It wasn't something he'd been given an option about. He'd been told 'you're getting this injection that'll make you stronger, see better, and hear better,' and in that context, it doesn't really sound bad. He'd never had a problem with any of those parts of it.

The problem lay with having a body constantly circulating toxins, killing off his sexual desire, causing physical discomfort on multiple levels, and killing off all his swimmers. Literally. His physical health, mental health, and everything had been impacted by the injection with side effects he considered to be way, way too much. He hadn't agreed to any of it, but he'd definitely not been informed of the possible side effects.

Isoloses peeked up over the book he was flipping through, taking in the sight of Naevys sitting in his office chair. He had his knees pulled up and rested on one of the arms of his chair, his hair pulled back into a loose braid that looked really intricate, strings of hair falling out of the biggest parts of it. It was resting over his shoulder, contrasting his pale skin beautifully thanks to the outfit he'd chosen to wear that day.

He was wearing a pair of tight soft pants that clung to his hips, thighs, and calves beautifully. The shirt he was wearing left his shoulders exposed, with little straps going up and around his neck. The sleeves of it were loose and flowy, made of floral lace. His hands were covered by this pair of gloves that wrapped around his fingers and the back of his hand but left the rest of his pale hand exposed. The gloves connected around his thin wrists where a small black band with a single deep green tear-drop-shaped gem on each of them. He was beautiful all the time, but Isoloses could hardly tear his eyes away from him.

He forced himself to look away, looking back at the book in his hand. He quickly flipped through a few pages, his eyes roaming over the page as he searched for a single image anywhere. The words were just nonsense in comparison to the books in Caelestes, he couldn't understand a single word of the ones in Naevys's office. They were all in the high-elven language, and Isoloses could speak maybe two or three words.

"Isoloses," Naevys's voice broke through his thoughts and Isoloses glanced back up at him, flushing a little. He was definitely caught. "I would like you to make a quick run into town for me if you wouldn't mind. To the bakery." Naevys said.
