Isoloses found himself sitting uncomfortably in the obstetrician's office, pretty sure he was going to cause a few premature births based on the horrified looks of some of the people sitting in the waiting room with him and Naevys. He scooted down in the chair he was sitting in, hiding himself behind his hood with an uncomfortable kind of anxiety crawling through him. He wasn't sure why everyone felt it necessary to stare at him, all he knew was that it made his skin crawl. The feeling of eyes on him was heavy and weighed him down.

Isoloses wanted out of the damn office, wanted to hide from all the eyes and the stress and the unreal amount of nervousness crawling through him. He swore he could feel the people around him breathing, feel the bright blue flickering candle flame from across the room, and he was certain there was nothing quite as irritating as the feeling of the fabric of the shirt he was wearing.

He was used to clothes that were full of holes, loose and not--suffocating. Suits like this made him feel strange, and though they seemed to be tailored to fit him. He felt awkward and uncomfortable.

Beside him, Naevys looked completely calm and stoic as he rested his head over on his arm. His hand stayed resting over his abdomen, and his eyes were closed. His calming presence made Isoloses feel at least the tiniest bit better. Isoloses rested his head on Naevys's, taking a deep breath. He could do this. It was no big deal. He dealt with staring everywhere. He wasn't inherently bothered by it. It was the fear.

To some extent, there was always a level of fear, but here, he was unable to avoid it. He couldn't hide from the looks, just like he couldn't hide from the horrible things he'd done. Everyone everywhere knew him, knew what he was capable of and what he had done. Even if they didn't know his appearance, his fathers appearance in his youth was his current appearance to some extent, and while it wasn't exact it was close enough to make people recognize him. He wasn't even wearing his mask, because of the meeting at Cassian's castle.

He couldn't hide, he couldn't disappear. He just had to breathe through the panic. His face was freshly shaven, Naevys had sat on the counter in his bathroom and shaved him before they left the castle that morning so he'd look neat and tidy, but it only made him feel bare.

"Isoloses," Naevys murmured quietly, his free hand wrapping around Isoloses's calmly. Isoloses glanced down at Naevys's smaller hand wrapping around his. Isoloses hummed quietly in response, his hand squeezing around Naevys's.

"Are you okay?" Isoloses asked, making Naevys nod.

"You're the one radiating anxiety like a heater. Take a deep breath." Naevys said, his hand tightening around Isoloses's comfortingly. "Īƙⱱᶏ ɀú ⱱƴǫúɕɦōưʀ, ɀí ɀᴉʈƙá," Naevys murmured quietly, making Isoloses hum curiously.

"What's that mean?" Isoloses murmured, making Naevys quietly laugh.

"When you stress, I choke." He explained rather unhelpfully. Isoloses raised an eyebrow. "It's an elven saying--regardless. What is wrong?" While his words could've easily been taken as abrasive, Isoloses could hear the worry lacing them.

"Everyone's staring at me." Isoloses responded quietly, making Naevys glance up and once over the room. Naevys glanced back at him and reached his hand into his pocket and pulled out Isoloses's mask, handing it over to him.

"Put this on until we get to Cassian's. Everything is okay. I don't think they'll be looking at you if you relax, though." Naevys soothed, making him smile a little as he took the mask from Naevys, his surprise clearly showing on his face. "I just noticed you left it this morning when you never have before. Don't read so much into things." Naevys grumbled quietly, not releasing his hand even as he scolded him.
